Do you check your account every day and feel like you're always losing money? Worried the next recession will crash your portfolio? Pulling out your hair, while the daily news fills you with fear?
Then you are a victim of information overload!
This book provides a simple trading strategy to preserve and grow your wealth by filtering the noise to get more valuable information in less time, reducing your stock research and trading effort by over 99 percent, and betting on long-term value creation to achieve financial success!
We are told the money managers on Wall Street who spend all day checking every stock price movement, every CEO tweet, and every company filing footnote have an edge in the stock market....
But the pixelated truth is that information has mathematical limits: zooming into a single blurry pixel of an image tells you nothing about the big picture—the stock market is no different. Spending hours upon hours researching a business teaches you more and more about less and less, until you know everything about nothing! And even if we did know every detail of the business, the laws of nature tell us we can’t predict the future stock price in a complex marketplace anyway!
Consider a different approach: investing for beginners without complicated financial jargon mumbo jumbo. In Stop Checking the Price, you will learn how to:
- Follow the 1st Law of Investing for maximum long-term compounding.... And why the “risk-return trade-off” is backwards
- Use the famous "80-20 Rule" to cut your research time and stock trading effort down by 99 percent
- Filter bad apples (stocks) before they spoil the whole barrel (portfolio)
- Steal a page from the venture capitalist’s playbook for explosive growth.... And how to beat Warren Buffett!
- Set a timer and evaluate any stock in 60 seconds from a data snapshot
Don’t get lost in the blurry pixels—ZOOM OUT

Complex strategies made simple!
As someone who's always been intrigued by the stock market but intimidated by its complexities, "Stop Checking the Price" was a game-changer for me. The author's approach to investing is refreshingly straightforward, making it an ideal read for beginners like myself.
The book's title might sound counterintuitive, but the strategy presented inside is nothing short of genius. The idea of trading only four times a year appealed to my busy lifestyle, and after listening through it, I'm convinced it's the way to go. The author's emphasis on not obsessing over daily market fluctuations is liberating, offering a much-needed break from the constant anxiety that can come with investing.

Very Useful Information!
Wow, such a great topic! Who doesn’t like the idea of trading only 4 times in a year? Key highlights from the audiobook include: Compressing information to save from over trading. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. More information does not mean better understanding of the details or better future results. Higher ROIC for a company is better and should be higher than WACC. The focus is on evaluating current company performance rather than future projections really struck a cord with me. The audiobook debunks the idea of buying and holding stocks for life, highlighting the importance of having a solid entry and exit strategy. Avoid FOMO.
There’s so much great information here, much more than I’ve mentioned. I really like how at the end of each chapter there’s a summary of the key points. This audiobook is a treasure trove of practical wisdom that I’m excited to put into practice!

A breath of fresh air in stock market!
This book by J. F. Dodaro is a breath of fresh air in the world of stock market investing. One personal experience that instantly relates to the book was when I tried my hand at stock trading. It felt like I was constantly checking the stock prices, and every time I did, it seemed like I was making impulsive decisions based on minute-by-minute fluctuations. Chapter 2, "Why Do We Lose Every Time We Look?" was like a mirror reflecting my past mistakes. It hit home how looking too frequently at stock prices can lead to losses instead of gains. The narration in this book is clear and concise

A good, safer angle to investing.
I have invested for years in the stock market and various other types. This book take a look at te mechanisms that make us check the stock price over and over again in fear of losing and thus we bail. I like the premise of this book as it states that if using the included method, you should only check the stock a few times a year. This makes sense as the daily raising and lowering of a stock is maddening and if we sit still, there are increases over a longer period. Good book.

Great audible for picking winners
I have dabbled in the stock market and I have lost every single time! So enough was enough and I wanted to learn from experts how I can start turning all my losers into winners. This audible was amazing at doing that! It took you through a logical sequence of events, strategies and divulged past experiences to really hit home how you go about picking winners and it just made sense. A light bulb finally went off and the strategies I have implemented have already started winning. The best chapter was how to evaluate a winning stock in under 60 seconds - if you want to win big then this is a must listen chapter! Highly recommended.
