This is where the book is so valuable. It opens up a path of hope for people who want their lives to improve and to have meaning. The rules Jordon Peterson outlines make perfect sense once he has finished explaining to them many listeners will wonder why they didn't previously see what was staring them in the face. These rules are particularly helpful to young men and women commencing their adult lives. These rules clarify what may have only been perceived dimly or not at all.

Oh God, said a close friend when he saw me listening to this book, "yet another reference list to enhance your life". True that. But unlike many other books that give us all guidance for how to live our lives, Dr. Peterson backs his "rules" with research and logic. But above all, Dr. Peterson's main lesson here - your behavior and attitude play a monumental role in how good your life will be - with a huge focus on self-responsibility for our own well being and happiness. Taking this one step further, if we all took more responsibility for our own behavior and attitude then the world would be a much better place.

Jordan Peterson may be the only clinical psychologist who believes that psychology is subordinate to philosophy and the one thing that psychology and philosophy both genuflect before is story. Story, or myth, predates religion and is, in fact, as old as language itself.

The things he says would have made my parents say "duh!" as they were raising me, but much of this common sense has been lost lately. He doesn't just tell you why children act a certain way in a different situation, but also why, from a psychological viewpoint, they should and need to grow up self-sufficient.

If you are interested in this book, firstly, buy and listen to it! Secondly, go to YouTube and look for any videos or long-form podcasts that Jordan takes part in. In my opinion, he is much more comprehensible in live formats than an explanation, and he is wonderful to learn from!

Although this book is great I feel Jordan Peterson is a bit lacking in his ability to write in a more comprehensive form to help others better understand his writing. However I think this is both a positive and a negative about how I believe he tries to choose his words very carefully due to how his outspoken minority in opposition to his philosophical ideology (mostly the far left and globalist's) have either attempted to slander him, or simply aggressively oppose him with I'll intentions.

This book is great I feel Jordan Peterson

Don't let children do things that make you dislike them. You aren't as nice as you think, and you will unconsciously take revenge on them. You are massively more powerful than your children and have the ability and subconscious proclivity for tyranny deeply rooted within you.

Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today. You need to improve, and you may even be in real bad shape, but many unfairly compare themselves to some more seemingly successful person. Up till around age 17, random comparisons to other people can make sense, but afterward, especially age 30+, our lives become so idiosyncratic that comparisons with others become meaningless and unhelpful.

This will make your life so much better. Why aren't we thought this in school? Research: prussian education system and the true meaning of the work anarchy. Oh and buy bitcoin if you care about yourself ;)

Excellent material for a much better life.

This book gives no BS guidelines about taking control of your life despite the overwhelming odds against us each and every day. After finishing this book, I felt relieved that someone understands my struggles as a man trying to make the best of my life in a chaotic and fragile world.
