Summary
The cocky footballer next door has some serious game…luckily, Daphney Clarke knows how to play.
Zander Williams is the hot new American determined to take European football by storm. His head is so big, it barely fits under his backwards hat. And when he’s recruited to one of the biggest up and coming clubs in London, he’s certain to make his name known.
Managing the building where they live is only one of Daphney’s many jobs. It’s why she has zero patience for the obnoxious American on the other side of the wall who makes the most ungodly noises and likes to answer his door in nothing but a pink tea towel.
Tensions build and after one steamy hallway kiss, neighbor wars quickly shifts into neighbors-with-benefits and that’s a battle they both intend to win.
But Daphney doesn’t know the real reason Zander is in London, and now she’s stuck in the middle of a game she didn’t even know she was playing.
Sweeper is a 120,000 word full length sports romance that is set in the Harris Brothers world, but can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Another Harris Brother ⚽️
I didn’t know how another Harris brother was going to fit into the family as they are so close knit and not growing up with their brother would be tricky!
My god my heart was melting Zander from the very beginning, from how he viewed relationships at the start compared to how much he welcomed them at the end.
Don’t get me wrong there was a long way for this story to go and Daphne was so adorable also.
I wish I could read/listen to this family forever ♾

Great Listen!
This was my first listen in the Harris Brothers world. I know, I should have listened to the rest of the series before this one but I still managed to catch up & was able to follow the story. Zander came to the UK to play soccer with some people who he thought may be his half brothers. While there, he meets Daphney. Their situation becomes a friends with benefits relationship. And eventually more! Excellent narration by Teddy Hamilton, Faye Adele, Will Watt, & Stella Hunter.

I enjoyed it!
This story is set in the Harris Brothers World, a Sports Romance. Zander and Daphney's slow burn romance and neighbors-to-lovers, is funny, sexy and heartwarming. Zander is a very interesting and intriguing character, enigmatic, charming, and handsome. Daphney is a wonderful character, feisty, and smart. They share an instant attraction, and a sizzling chemistry. I loved to follow them in their journey to love. They are perfect together. The supporting characters are amazing. I love the Harris Brothers! The duet narration is amazing. Faye Adele, Teddy Hamilton, Will Watt and Stella Hunter brilliantly bring this story to life. The voices are very pleasant to listen to. This was my first listen to Faye Adele's voice, and I am very impressed! She definitely is a narrator to follow. She was perfect as Daphney. Teddy Hamilton was awesome as Zander. Will Watt was excellent interpreting the Harris Brothers, as always. Stella Hunter was an amazing addition to this story as Zander's mother. I love her voice! Amy Daws never disappoints. This is an excellent team author/narrators, and the audio production is flawless. I enjoyed it, and I HIGHLY recommend it. I need more of the Harris Brothers World!

Amazing cast of narrators!!
I loved reconnecting with the Harris Brothers again! Zander is just amazing. He's confident and in charge and of course he's handsome as sin. Daphney is guarded.... until she can't take it anymore! I devoured this slow burn romance with some neighbor to lovers. it was addictive.
Faye Adele's was a new narrator for me and I really liked her voice. She was a perfect Daphney. Teddy Hamilton was amazing as Zander. He excelled in the confidence and a bit of cockiness. Will Watt was spectacular as the Harris Brothers. It was a treat to hear them again. Then Stella Hunter as Zander's mom was just fabulous. The narration of this book was a top performance!

Outstanding Story & Narration🎧A Heartfelt Delight
Amy Daws pens another fabulous sports romance novel, and It is great to be back in her Harris Brothers world, because nobody does cocky and smoking hot footballers like she does. She is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style and a brilliant mind, and her way with words and witty dialogue is hilarious and there should be a warning to not eat or drink while reading or listening to her books or risk losing the content because of spontaneous laughter. Her descriptive details bring you right alongside the characters, allowing you to see what they see, feel, and think. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are also likable and easy to fall for and care about. Zander Williams, an American soccer player, wants to make it in the big leagues, to do that he must go across the pond and when an opportunity arises to play in the Premier League for a team in England, he jumps on it. Because of family matters, dealing with the loss of his father, his start date gets delayed. He also learns something that may be life altering, something he is keeping to himself until he has proof that it is true and it has been a bit of a struggle for him to deal with. Daphney Clarke works several jobs, including working at The Old George where she first meets Zander as he waits to meet Hayden for the key to his new apartment. After bombing out with Daphney, he learns she is Hayden’s sister and the unofficial property manager of the building he will live in and the person who will show him to his new apartment. He continues to put his foot in his mouth the whole time he is with her and blames it on jet lag. The two butt heads at first, but there is a definite chemistry between them and they finally act upon it and agree to be neighbors with benefits. All goes well until feelings get involved and she overhears something she shouldn’t have heard. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is both a beautifully and cleverly plotted story and has the perfect balance of drama, angst, humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Amy Daws thank you for another exceptionally wonderful story and an emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Amy Daws could not have choses a better cast to bring her characters and story to life. Teddy Hamilton, Faye Adele, Will Watt and Stella Hunter are a wonderful lineup of talented narrators and entertaining storytellers. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit their character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Teddy Hamilton knocked it out of the park playing Zander Williams, grasping his cockiness and his soft and vulnerable side, Faye Adele’s Daphney was brilliant, both were great handling the witty dialogue and landing the humor with ease, as was Will Watt in the various roles, including the Harris’ and topping off the performances is Stella Hunter playing Zander’s Mom with perfection. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performances. Thank you for this fabulously enjoyable and entertaining listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your books.

Got swept away
Holy wet tshirt contest, Batman. Can I do things with that nipple?
*coughs* I mean, wow, what a great cover haha
I am now obsessed with two football series - Ted Lasso (can I get an amen to Roy Kent) and The Harris Brothers series
I mean, I have been obsessed with the Harris brothers for a long time already, but I can never get enough,
At the end of the last book, Replay, we got a hint of things to come, and Ms Daws has not disappointed us.
Following Zander from one life changing revelation to the next, I couldn't help but adore him. Watching him repeatedly crash and burn when it came to romancing the lovely Daphney, I laughed, I cried, I smiled and sniggered like a 12 year old.
It was a pleasure watching them both open their arms - and their hearts - as their pasts were still defining their present.
There was this thing throughout the whole story, and I was waiting for the shoe to drop. It was pretty unbelievable that it took as long as it did to reveal itself, and I was always telling myself that this was the page that all will reveal, only for... nope.
There was a little bit of drama, but nothing OTT and it was pretty realistic really.
It was great that I got got more of My Hayden (sigh) and I felt that Zander was a great fit in to the Harris family.
Now, Teddy Hamilton could sit and narrate the dictionary and I would buy it. He does a fantastic job with Zander.
Will and Stella I have listened to many of their works and really enjoy them, and same with this book.
I have not listened to Adele before, but I will definitely keep an ear out for more

Teddy & Will were narration perfection! 👏
A secret Harris brother?!?! 😱 This book was everything I didn’t know I wanted! I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with the whole gang. I can’t wait for the next book to see how Zander continues to bond with everyone! However, we’re going to have to agree to disagree on oatmeal raisin cookies…..

Another incredible listen!
Who needs sleep? I know last night I went to bed with my earbuds in, and to say the least, I hardly slept! Amy Daws kept me up all night with her new book. Mad? Nope. Loved every minute of it! This is our chance to see all the Harris Brothers again while meeting a new player coming for the states. The self confident, good looking, Zander is now across the pond and settling in. Meeting Daphney, his neighbor/building maintenance person is just icing on the cake. He just needs to hook her and reel her in. But she knows just how these players are, and she is going to guard her heart. Until she can't. But what will happen when she finds out the secret Zander has been holding? Talk about a fun listen. I absolutely love any book with soccer, but I adore that Daws not only has the players, but gives us play by play scenes and understands the game! Then to top it off, she gives us a fantastic, slow burn romance and a family I just want to go to Sunday dinners with. Snorgasms, letters, family issues, terrible cookies, I loved every minute of this addition to the Harris Brothers series, and can only hope there is more to come.
Daws always picks her narrators with care. Will Watt comes back giving us the previous Harris brothers, which is always a blast. I love that we hear and place each one. Then she gives us Teddy Hamilton as the desirable, yet vulnerable Zander. He gets this character and gives us all the feels. Faye Adele nails Daphney with her spunky attitude and the frustrating cautiousness. Love her ability to let us feel. Then to top it off, Stella Hunter! When she comes in as Zander's mom, all the emotions break through. A fabulous team put together to give us a fabulous listen!

I loved it - 10 Stars!!
Who would have thought me, a self confessed football detractor, would be completely fanatical about everything Bethnal Green. I mean everything! The footballers, the manager, the coach, and of course the support staff. What a dream team. So when they decide to recruit 3 new players from America, I know things are going to get interesting, and of course they do. Superstar Zander Williams (I love that name so much), is wondering whether he’s out of his league, both with his new U.K. football premiership team, and with his hot new neighbour, Daphney Clarke. Both Daphne and Zander have a whole host of personal issues, and a relationship is the last thing they need, but maybe they can have a neighbours with benefits relationship? Fab story, lots of Harris drama (the best). What a fab bunch they all are. Heartwarming, emotional, funny, and of course swoon-worthily sexy. I loved it. I didn’t think I could love this book anymore, but then I went and listened to the audio version! OMG! Audio is always a favourite of mine when it comes to Amy Daws, but she has upped her game with Sweeper. Best audio EVER! Teddy Hamilton, Faye Adele, Will Watt and Stella Hunter - I salute you. Fantastic. 10 out of 5 stars it is.

The author mostly delivers
After the perfection that was Replay, I was excited to discover a new standalone story set in the same world. Especially since the main character, Zander, was discovered at the end of Replay. And the author mostly delivers.
My main complain is about the kind of instalove Daphney and Zander feels for each other. Okay, maybe not instant since Daphney has little good to say about Zander for a long time. But once they decide to go with their attraction, love is just around the corner.
The attraction was undeniable, and it resulted in very sexy scenes. To be honest, there was also a strong connection once they give it a try. Affection, support, they gave each other their all, and it wasn’t long before they labelled their relationship as more than neighbors with benefits.
Their love story isn’t the sole focus of this book. Daphney and Zander both have to follow their own journey, not one easier than the other. Daphney has to learn to trust again, in herself and in others, while Zander is on a path of self-discovery–he isn’t sure of who he is anymore since he learned a secret about his lineage. They help each other out through all of that.
As a character, I loved Zander. He wasn’t perfect–loss of control, childish behavior at times–but I loved that, once he’s in touch with his feelings, he isn’t afraid to show them, through tears and laughter both.
The whole Harris clan is back, and Zander’s interactions with the family were interesting, especially with Vaughn and Booker. I don’t want to give away too much about the story, but it’s a central point of the book.
In audio, it’s a really good book. The main narrators, aside from Daphney and Zander, respectively play the English female characters and the American male characters. To help them, two more narrators give their voice to Zander’s mother, and the Harris male characters. The four of them are equally talented, and both emotions and humor are done well.
