'Clever, funny and made my heart hurt in the best way' STEPHANIE BUTLAND

Meet Lady Amelia Smallhope, for whom there is no problem that can't be solved by a drink and a think.

And Pennyroyal, for whom there is no problem. Ever.

Everyone's favourite bounty hunters. Sorry - recovery agents. No bad guy they can't handle. No expense account too flexible. No adventure too outrageous.

Join them as they settle scores, break every rule in the book and take the world by storm.

Loved it

I just loved it, especially the way it fitted with reference to the St Mary’s and Time Police books - it alluded to them without repeating the same stories - and now we know how old they are! Lots of other little nuggets too…. Brilliant. I don’t know how JT keeps track!!

Usual excellence

Another excellent instalment from Jodi. Lovely to hear more from Pennyroyal and Smallhope.
As usual Zara Ram does and wonderful reading. If you’re already a fan you’ll have listened to this. If not what, get to it with the whole series.

Brilliant as ever

Fascinating characters, vivid writing, excellent plot, brilliantly read by Zara Ramm, as ever. Highly recommended - and let's hope it's the first of a new series.

Loved this story

I love Zara Ramm as a reader and I love Jodi Taylor as a writer so I was expecting good things and that’s what I got. It was so nice to get to know Smallhope and Pennyroyal properly. Loved the story and the way the St Mary’s and Time Police novels were interwoven. Really hope there’s a next one!

Bloomin Brilliant!!

I hate it when these books come to an end as I always always always feel such sadness as I know I'll have to wait for ages for the next St Mary's/spin-off to be released...How long till the next one??

Different but good

Most enjoyable- little slow to get started perhaps but good story bringing in their meeting and early exploits.
Some good characters, the vile money grabbing, social climbing Caroline is totally recognisable both from historical figures and some from the present day!
Enjoyable story with good twists at the end.

The link between the books

Having listened too all St Catherine’s and the TTP books, this is so amusing linking all the books. Just wonderful, brilliant work.

Nice to know more about this couple

The book was entertaining but I’m getting a little tired of all the ‘what if’ drawn out moments.

Brilliant book and recording.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Fast paced, amusing and entertaining. The narrator is excellent. If you enjoy the St Mary’s novels, you will enjoy this.
