It is rare that a novel can push you through so many emotions . Nail biting one minute , laugh out loud moments too , gripping stuff again . I love all the characters who are becoming like old friends. Not forgetting the brilliant narrator who brings these characters

I found the story line week in this novel, I have listened to quite a few of J.D Kirk books and have so far given them top reviews. Still as they say, “ you can’t win them all”,

A thoroughly enjoyable detective series - although the plots are based on serious crimes - I found myself laughing out loud at some of the interactions and antics of individual characters.
I very much hope there will be many more books to come!
Fantastic narration by Angus King - great character differentiation and not a bad attempt at a Welsh accent too!

I'm working my way through the whole set of these books and I can only say that JD Kirk needs to write faster. Love the twists and turns, the humour has me laughing out loud. Brilliant book series.

Absolutely love this series but didn't quite enjoy this book as much as the previous ones. Loved the regular characters and some of the new additions; others will take time to grow on me I think. Excellent narration, as always. Good plot, but not as gripping or exciting as the previous ones. Didn't have the same grip on me and book felt shorter. Looking forward to the next one though and hoping this was just a blip.
