About this listen

I know I want to marry Sam the moment I meet him. After I lost my beloved mother so suddenly, this charming, softly spoken architect with his deep-brown eyes is just the fresh start I’ve been searching for.

I’m delighted to be expecting our first child before we’ve even had a chance to plan a honeymoon. I want our family to work, so I try to ignore his long work trips. I turn a blind eye to the private calls he takes, and I listen to his excuses about why the money keeps disappearing from my bank account. After all, he has no idea what I’ve been doing in our house while he’s away or how I really made that money.

Then, I find out Sam’s got more to hide than I ever imagined was possible. Because my husband is leading a double life. He’s already married to someone else.

But what Sam doesn’t know is that he’s not the only person keeping secrets. And he has no idea how far I’ll go to protect myself....

A totally binge-worthy, twisty, will-leave-you-gasping story of marriage, guilt, and lies. If you love Lisa Jewell, Gillian Flynn, and Paula Hawkins, you will not be able to sleep until you’ve finished The Bigamist.

it was really good tbh most of it but then it got to a point where it was unbelievable and made me dislike the character etc and then it just ended on a kind of cliffhanger which was very frustrating and I have a lot of questions that weren't answered either which I hate

loved it until last few chapters

I’m not often compelled to write the reviews but I loved the twists in this book. Kept me riveted through a very rainy weekend. Definitely going to read more of this author if the rest are as gripping as this. Excellent listen and I really enjoyed Sarah Durhams portrayal of the characters. Great narration easy on the ears!

Excellent read with a clever twist loved this book

Loved the book and was surprised at the inclusion of the dysart convent where I used to go every Sunday for mass as a child. Living locally it was a lovely nod to the nuns x

Surprise inclusion of dysart convent!

Brilliant

It started off really good and had a few twists and turns along the way but there are a few loose threads that need tying up which let it down a bit. I wasn't overly keen on the narrator, sorry.

Enjoyed it but with questions

I really enjoyed this book with its many twists and turns...but...after loving it all the way through l was just slightly disappointed by the ending 😕
This didn't particularly mess around with my enjoyment of the story but l have a bit of a 'thing' about open endings...l prefer an unequivocal full stop, the end kind of thing.

Loved it...mostly 😕

I thought this book set off at a good pace but seemed to fizzle out at the end as if the author didn’t know how to finish the book. Was still puzzled about the birth of the child and what happened at the cottage without giving too much away. Too many holes in the story for me

A little disappointing

I wasn't overly interested in this book. It dragged on and on and I was very annoyed by the stupid notion ..spoiler alert ..of two bigamists
