Summary

He thinks his secret is safe. But she knows the truth....

My husband is a doctor. He’s smart and charming, and everybody trusts him. Except me.

On the surface, it looks like I have it all–the perfect marriage, the perfect husband, the perfect life. But it’s far from the truth.

Doctor Drew Devlin is not the respectable figure he makes out to be. The reason we moved to this beautiful, old property with a gorgeous view of the sea was because we needed to put our past behind us. It should’ve been a fresh start for us both.

Except I’ve discovered my husband has been lying to me again. He’s using the power he has in his job to mess with people’s lives and to get exactly what he wants–no matter who it hurts.

But he’s underestimated me. I’ve had plenty of time, in this big, isolated house, to think about all of his mistakes.

And my husband has no idea what’s about to happen next....

From the number one best-selling author of The Passenger, an absolutely gripping psychological thriller packed with jaw-dropping twists that will keep you listening late into the night. If you love Behind Closed Doors, Gone Girl, and The Housemaid, you’ll be hooked on The Doctor’s Wife.

Good pace but epilogue damp squib

Easy listening if not very likeable or likely characters. The ending was weak literally felt it was being made up as it went along.

Dull

Well, I reached the end and didn't give up on it, and the narrators weren't awful. And yes, there were a few twists and turns. But nothing to get excited about. Nothing to keep me reading. The characters weren't real and engaging. It felt like I was listening to an extended version of a short story in a cheap women's magazine. I must remember not to read/listen to anything by this author again. I started to listen to the sample of the author's next book, because I was driving. But I had to cut it short. It screamed 'boring' at me, and if I hadn't already believed this author writes dull books, that sample confirmed it.

A good book/audiobook

I re listened to this audiobook again and enjoyed it just as much as the first time when it was first published. A great story with twists you definitely don't see coming. I am looking forward to the following book and audiobook coming out later this month.

Another fab book by this author!!!!

Loved this. Love the author so much. Have yet to find a title by him that k didn’t enjoy. The story was brilliant and I’ve just purchased book 2 in this series. Ready to find out what happens next. The narration was great and really suited the book. I’ve listened to this title in 24 hours on and off. It had me gripped from the start . A definete 5 star review overall. One more for my collection.

FABULOUS LISTEN! GRIPPING STORYLINE WITH A THRILLING FINAL TWIST ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the second novel I’ve listened to from Daniel Hurst and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them both, and I’m very fussy! “The Doctor’s Wife” had me locked in from beginning to end, and due to the plot having so many unexpected twists I binged on this in just one day… I even sacrificed half a night’s sleep because I couldn’t wait to find out what happens. The final twist was excellent! The narration was perfection, which for me is extremely important. Highly recommend this title to anyone who enjoys this genre! I’m already on the hunt for another title from this author.

Midway all the way

This is an okay read. There’s no massive twists that you can’t see coming a mile away in the dark with one eye closed, but it’s an easy read that pulls you in just enough to make you want to finish it. Female character is a little typical and not particularly likeable and the female narrator is a tad overboard. Still, it passed the time.
