I enjoyed every moment of this fantastic story, brought to life with skilful narration. You can enjoy it as a well executed sequel, or a stand alone novel. Either way it’s too good to miss!

Brilliant
I sailed through this novel, it’s inspiring and uplifting and beautifully read by the narrator. You really get to know the characters and journey with them through their struggles in an unfair world. Read this book and you’ll see.

Beautifully written and narrated
I loved getting re-acquainted with Cussy Mary and Junia and getting to know Honey and her new friend Pearl. Ultimately this book is about the power of female friendships, and the important role women played in striving for societal change in 1950s Appalachia. An inspiring story.
