About this listen
An ancient curse. A forbidden love. Which will die first?
Sorrel Black’s family has been ruled by a book passed down from generation to generation. But now that it is in her possession, it has stopped working. For her alone, one critical piece of information is missing that will keep the curse, cast long ago as a punishment for her family’s rebellion, from being passed down to her own daughter someday. She hopes the book’s silence means the curse will end with her—even if it means dying alone. But then Eric Knight walks into her life and changes everything.
When investigative journalist Eric Knight is forced to take an assignment to interview bakery owner Sorrel Black, he has no idea that her story will become their story. That his secrets are her secrets. Now together, these born enemies turned lovers must not only face the curse that has separated their families for generations, but the reality that breaking the curse means breaking their hearts. For, in the end, only one family can survive.

What a great storyline
This storyline is great. I enjoyed the direction it went and the characters are very well written. With so many secrets these characters are complex but true. A brilliant performance.

The Book of Sorrel
I really enjoyed this book and the concept of it. I did find the story a bit predictable. The story did leave a few things open but overall it was an enjoyable read

Audiobook obsession reviewer, flock reviewer.
This was an incredibly well written story full of mystery and adventure. I loved each second even if Eric came off as not the nicest character in the start of the book. I found the narration flowed well and as the narrators settled into the characters more they truely brought the characters to life for me. This was an amazing listen.

Cursed
Sorrel is such a fun character, she is sweet and caring and pure. This story was full of curses, and secrets and a mysterious path. This was a captivating grumpy/sunshine story.

book
I loved the dual narration of Kim Churchill and Tim Paige
This is a great book full of suspense, supernatural, mystery, and romance. With wonderful characters from the start. This is a great light romantic listen and read.
Sorrel has a secret a curse that limits and controls her. She has friends but can never get truly close to anyone for fear they’ll discover her secrets, and that she is not mortal. Eric is a investigative reporter. Who is has a cynical view of life, and secrets of his own. When the two meet there is chemistry and sparks.

Sweet, sweet curse
Such a sweet book about a curse! I love enemies-to-lovers and Sorrel's and Eric's chemistry is off the charts from the get go, even if they fight it. I'd love to visit "Love Bites" and get a taste of Sorrel's magic, and I enjoyed the heck out of this book from start to finish. Perfect narration by Kim Churchill and Tim Paige.
