About this listen
"The book reads like the work of a mad scientist who wants nothing more than to show the world why he loves B-movie horror." (Damien Casey, author of Coffin Dodgers, Pup and Hot Pink Satanism)
"Fast paced with an compelling plot, violent scenes of gore that were played off to be amusing and extremely colorful. Three words I can use to sum up this tale: comedic, brutal and thrilling!" (H. Everend, author of Cursed Legacy and The Summoning)
The book you are about to listen to is an account of the tragedy that occurred at the reopening of Bonkin's Bonanza one day in the summer of 1989. Some came looking for fun, like Candy Barton and her best friend, Leigh.
Others, like Rocky Rhodes and Sully Sullivan, came looking for a second chance. Instead, they would find a twisted, funfetti nightmare.
For many of the thrill-seekers and families visiting Bonkin's Bonanza, that day would be their last. And the events that unfolded would go on to become infamously known as The Cotton Candy Massacre.
©2022 Christopher Robertson (P)2023 Christopher RobertsonI got recommended this from TikTok, so I was a little sceptical. But I am so happy I gave it a go. It was an exciting listen. I grew to love all the main characters, their relationships, and their struggles in the carnival. And as always my favourite character died.
I loved the ending. I was rooting for it and surprised it actually happened.
The chapters all have fun names and little call-outs to the 80s. The introduction and warnings got a small laugh out of me.
What a ride!

The character development is fantastic. I love the bond between Cliff and Stacey. It is funny, and very emotional as the story goes on.
TCCM had me feeling every emotion. Some parts made me laugh, others I got tearful, most of it had me sat on the edge of my seat dying to know what the hell happens next. it's a fast-paced gore-fest!
I have read the physical copy a few times already and Christopher Robertson immediately became my auto-buy author. His other books are diverse and just as addictive as this one.
the narration was brilliant aswell, really enjoyed this audible version!
Fast-paced gore-fest!
