Summary
J. S. Dewes continues her fast paced, science fiction action adventure series, the Divide, with The Exiled Fleet, where The Expanse meets The Black Company—the survivors of The Last Watch refuse to die.
The Sentinels narrowly escaped the collapsing edge of the Divide.
They have mustered a few other surviving Sentinels, but with no engines they have no way to leave the edge of the universe before they starve.
Adequin Rake has gathered a team to find the materials they'll need to get everyone out.
To do that they're going to need new allies and evade a ruthless enemy. Some of them will not survive.

Enjoyable but
I enjoyed the book but some things irk me...like when an airlock has its air removed for a space walk the people in the airlock start to float, it reads like a lack of air means we can float! also the edge of the universe reads like it means actually the edge of the galaxy! this is just down to time it takes vessels to traverse the edge of the universe would be immense even with faster than light travel. does the author mean edge of the galaxy?
i don't think i will invest in the following books.

A great space romp
I really enjoyed the series. Epic and a little corny at the same time. Some big chunky ideas on the physics side. Author suffers a little from word repetition. The most common word in the book is "glower" and there is lots of cheek chewing. Other than that it's huge fun.
