Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The brilliant new novel from top five Sunday Times best-selling author Trisha Ashley.
All Marnie wants is somewhere to call home. Mourning lost years spent in a marriage that has finally come to an end, she needs a fresh start and time to heal. Things she hopes to find in the rural west Lancashire village her mother always told her about.
With nothing but her two green thumbs, Marnie takes a job as a gardener, which comes with a little cottage to make her own. The garden is beautiful - filled with roses, lavender and honeysuckle - and only a little rough around the edges. Which is more than can be said for her next-door neighbour, Ned Mars.
Marnie remembers Ned from her school days, but he’s far from the untroubled man she once knew. A recent relationship has left him with a heart as bruised as her own.
Can a summer spent gardening help them heal and recapture the forgotten dreams they’ve let get away?

Gardening Delight
As usual a really great story with many twists and turns, but a ,ove story that all works out in the end. For those who haven't read Tricia Ashley before I would thoroughly recommend her books. They arevery down to earth but the stories are so well written. Loved how characters from her last book made an appearance in this one, ,overly touch. Can't wait for the next one now.

A Good Listen
This is the first Tricia Ashley book I've listened to. It was a bit too descriptive for me. I know in some cases description is good but I found it was too much.
The plot was good. I may try another book to see if this is how Tricia writes. I don't think I can dismiss her books after listening to one.

Similar to others
The woman who has lost her mother again scenario. But s nice story until the last chapter when it becomes a farce. Mike turning up is where it should have ended.
The long list son ex girlfriend and g thy hen the two ex’s. Go o ok no off together is OTT

Comfortable but slightly irritating…
There is so much to love about Trisha’s books except for the reoccurring theme of a heroine who believes she has a devastating secret which she repeatedly, repeatedly, chooses not to share when any other person, in the same circumstances, absolutely would. This is a tad frustrating and takes the books from 5 to 4 star for me.

A very pleasant story.
The story started slowly and seemed rather strange, however it turned into a very enjoyable tale with many twists. Particularly if like me you are a keen gardener who enjoys turning a jungle into a beautiful ordered garden.

Well worth the effort…
I read/listen to lots of books of this genre - easy and gentle. I’m often disappointed in the abrupt end of most books, you spend hours listening to it and then it’s all rapped up in 1/2 a chapter!
Not this one, it leaves you completely satisfied and ready for the next adventure.
Beautifully read by Melissa Vaughan and a gorgeous story by Trish Ashley

Fantastic heart warming story
I think out of all of Trisha Ashley's books this is the one I found I could personally relate to the heroin of the story. the books a bit slow in places but it's such a wonderful story it doesn't really matter. Narrator is good too. I recommend reading a Christmas invitation first as some of the minor characters are the main ones in that
