A young bisexual British lord embarks on an unforgettable Grand Tour of Europe with his best friend/secret crush. An 18th-century romantic adventure for the modern age written by This Monstrous Thing author Mackenzi Lee - Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda meets the 1700s.
Henry “Monty” Montague doesn’t care that his roguish passions are far from suitable for the gentleman he was born to be. But as Monty embarks on his grand tour of Europe, his quests for pleasure and vice are in danger of coming to an end. Not only does his father expect him to take over the family’s estate upon his return, but Monty is also nursing an impossible crush on his best friend and traveling companion, Percy.
So Monty vows to make this yearlong escapade one last hedonistic hurrah and flirt with Percy from Paris to Rome. But when one of Monty’s reckless decisions turns their trip abroad into a harrowing manhunt, it calls into question everything he knows, including his relationship with the boy he adores.
Witty, dazzling, and intriguing at every turn, The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue is an irresistible romp that explores the undeniably fine lines between friendship and love.
Don't miss Felicity's adventures in The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy, the highly anticipated sequel!

hilarious, well read, heart renching and fun!!!!
I'm listening to it again. Beautiful fun imagery, the characters are real and gritty with an excellent realness in emotion. for anyone who uses humour as a defender mechanism this is a realistic rendition of how it feels! I love it.

One of the best reads I’ve had in a long time!
I loved this book so much! The writing was amazing and the characters were amazing and the narrator was amazing
Basically everything was amazing. The narrators voice really suited the character of Monty, and he was really good at putting expression into what he was saying!
The story it’s self was emotional and funny and captivating. I may of shed a few tears and I may of laughed out loud in public while listening to this book.
I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good LGBT romance/adventure/drama novel. :D

A hilarious romp through 18th century Europe
This book was even funnier and more enjoyable than I expected. I absolutely loved the characters and how diverse and well crafted they were, plus the narrator was perfect and really brought Monty to life. I can't wait for Felicity's companion novel!

Queering the past
Queering the past in important. Telling diverse stories in an historical context is equally so. And it doesn't have to serious, or didactic, or something you'd prefer to avoid.
This story is funny, romantic, and eye-opening, yet it also gets across important points. The blend works well. YA is a category of writing I normally avoid. My loss, maybe. However when this title appeared in my recommendations, I went looking. After a few months of languishing in my TBR list, I finally went listening. Is it worth it? Yes.
Mackenzi Lee's writing is perfectly complemented by Christian Coulson's narration. In someone else's hands, the hours might not have slipped past so easily.

Great story, beautifully read 👍
This is not my usual fare (which is science fiction and fantasy), but it was recommended to me by a friend. I'm so glad I decided to take their advice!

Just amazing!!
Oh man where to begin, this book was so so so good, it was everything I was looking for, it had romance, adventure, it was so well written it blew me away at certain points, the stunning imagery, the poetic metaphores, oh my it was glorious! Probably the best LGBT book I've had the pleasure of reading! It doesn't make the characters hate themselves for their sexualities, despite the era it's set in, something a lot of authors can't do with book set in modern times, but also focuses on the story with a strong side element of romance, just like straight novels, and something many LGBT books just don't do, and I loved it! The story was immense and kept me hooked, and the romance was just as good, which basically never happens, and ah i can't gush enough over this book, I need to read everything Mackenzi Lee has written, and then personally beg her to turn this book into a series!
