Summary
The Grail is another knockout from New York Times best-selling author Bob Mayer writing as Robert Doherty.
The Holy Grail - is it the key to a miracle...or a terrifying truth? The Great Wall of China, the immense carvings on Easter Island, Egypt's pyramids, UFOs: What is the chilling connection? The answer, unearthed by an elite band of soldiers and scientists based at Area 51, is rewriting human history - to include the aliens who shaped it!
Now, in this heart-pounding novel, Area 51 personnel embark on a top-secret search for the Holy Grail, a glittering artifact with the power to save the world...or lead to its destruction.
Special Forces officer Mike Turcotte has paid his dues in battle and in blood. Now assigned to Area 51, he fights the toughest enemy of his career: the alien race who arrived on Earth millennia ago and have returned to claim the planet.
Mike has dodged bullets and faced weapons of mass destruction to give humanity another day of reprieve. But when his lover, scientist Lisa Duncan, falls into evil hands, Mike must decide which prize means the most to him - the woman he loves or the legendary Grail. It's a decision that could damn him...or damn us all.

Bad Narration...
Would you be willing to try another one of Martin Gollery’s performances?
Absolutely not
Any additional comments?
I only endured the terrible narration as i'm already invested in the series, and want to see it to completion, if Martin Gollery was the narrator on the following books i would quit the series at this point.

Good story, appalling audio book
Probably the worst audiobook I have ever heard, bear with it as it becomes tolerable.

Good story spoilt by dreadful narrator
Like listening to a robot who couldn’t pronounce his words. Weird intonation and accents spoilt enjoyable series.

good book very good story line however the editing is terrible and the reading could have been alot better. as you hear the breaks in the edit and you hear words repeating a number of times.

Great story but tough to listen to!
Who is this narrator?! I'm glad he didn't continue narrating this series or I'd have to abandon it here and buy the paper books. To be fair, it is bearable... Just.....
Think of listening to a news reader, with that incessant intonation that is the same every sentence turning each line of the story into some piece of information and you're halfway there, and don't get me started on the 'voices' he tries to impersonate... There's a moment where someone was 'neverrrrr' and it had me in tears.
If you're a long running fan of the series who listens to audio books on their commute and can't read physical books (driving etc) then you can suffer through it and after 30 mins or so it becomes bearable, just. Plus, the story is brilliant, there are a lot of things cleared up here that make it a must read.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I was unable to write a full review as the performance was so terrible I wasn’t able to finish the first chapter. I gave the story 4 stars, based purely on the past books.
The narrator simply cannot read. Why the narrator is paid to read is truly the greatest mystery of this story. Please don’t waste a credit or money on this download. Such a shame as I was really looking forward to this next instalment. Terrible.
