Summary

USA Today Best-Selling Series!

Just because she can see the dead doesn't mean Verity Long wants to spend her days hunting ghosts. Instead she's over the moon to land a marketing job at the local bank...until she finds her new boss dead in the vault. Even her ghost friend, Frankie, knows that's no way to start a career.

Relieved to let the police take charge, Verity steps aside, bound and determined to keep her ghost sightings to herself. But when she learns the main suspect in the murder is a very crooked, very dead mobster, Verity knows it's up to her to solve the case.

She teams up with her ghostly gangster buddy, Frankie, as well as the irresistible and charming Ellis, and the three of them search haunted mob hideouts, hidden passageways, and historic cemeteries for the facts behind the heist of the century - and a modern-day motive for murder.

Too bad uncovering the truth could very well make Verity the next victim....

Entertaining

This is like Cluedo with ghosts. A wee bit of love mixed in makes this a relaxing read that doesn’t fail to provide light entertainment. It is a shorter book but I actually prefer that to one that just wants to fill the word quota with fluff. I am so invested in how the story evolves, I cannot stop myself from buying the next instalment.

No lying or deceit. No dragging out the story with avoidance or secrets. Just plain straight through storytelling that I loved.

A Fantastic Addition To The Series.

I am already a fan of this series, having read and loved the first two books in the series. I bought this on Kindle and added the audible version at a reduced rate, alternating between reading and listening to the story.

As you can tell by my 5 star rating, I really loved everything about this story; the writing style was easy to read, the plot developed at a good pace, I loved the characters and the situations they found themselves in and I enjoyed trying to work out the mystery aspect.

As a narrated book, I was impressed with Tavia Gilbert's performance; loving her tonal adjustments for the dialogue and the pace at which she read the story. I would definitely buy books narrated by her in the future.
