Well written

I think this book has an obvious purpose. It was written well and gave enough insight into regency life Jane style.

An insightful guide to upper class Regency life

Enjoyably narrated, insightful guide on how Regency society expected you to behave, using Austen’s novels as examples. I now know how to play Whist & other games. Shame this book is being removed, hopefully Audible will bring it back soon 🎩🎩🎩👒👒👒

a beautiful insight into Georgian time

a great book highlighting Jane Austen's time and her work.
The narrator spoke very clearly and at a steady pace.
I really enjoyed this audiobook, and I've already downloaded the extra material (pdf) :)

Regency social history for Austen/ Heyer fans

Why is anything connected to Jane Austen read with such a plum voice? it's just not necessary and grates. Although this isn't an Austen novel, it does contain excerpts and it would be so refreshing to hear them read with a Hampshire burr.
As for content, this provides lots of information, easily digested. Facts are related to the novels to add further insight into settings, characters' motives and actions
