I loved this book from the very first although it started with a gulp foe me too, bringing back a lot of sad memories.
I loved that it was a story about ordinary people, struggling in every way that real life throws at you but that love and friendship just shine through it all. Couldn't put it down till it was finished. Love Amanda Ptowse but this has been my favourite.

Never sure how a story will pan out and if you’ll care about the characters or even enjoy the narration or story but I have to say this one’s surprised me. I loved it and the characters even the narration, sad when it ended. Even shed a tear !!! Wish it was longer.

How much I liked all the characters. Especially treacle !
