the audiobook is missing the ends of some chapters
Chapters cut off half way through. The narrators doesn't really have much personality in her voice, so it kind of falls into the same lilt in each new sentence over and over again. Story could be good but I've stopped half way because I hated the story randomly skipping to the next chapter. I also find Sarra Manning characters to sometimes come across desperately trying to be cool / quirky / interesting, but not quite getting there and I felt like that was the turn this was taking.
Since the review I did reach out to audible to resolve. Firstly was questioned about how much of the book was missing, its not really possible for me to know that. They've told me they don't have a timeline for the issue to be fixed and haven't contacted me in the month since. So don't buy it from audible, it doesnt work.

What can I even say
The voice actor was irritating, monotone and in my opinion, far too queens English for the character. I started to enjoy it around 3 hours in then noticed the chapter cut off, so for that I’ve left a bad review as I preordered this on audible to enjoy and I can’t enjoy it if it is not giving the entirety of the book. If I could get a refund I would. Don’t download, buy the book!

adidn't love the narrator but was just starting to warm up to it when noticed the missing parts. Now i'm just waiting to see if the book is fixed at some point because i would really like to read it and a physical book isnot an option.

Struggled to get into the book.
I genuinely love Sarra Manning books, so I was a bit disappointed in this one. The characters never really developed for me and the plot line lacked depth, just felt like a rushed book and lacked substance. The chapters were also missing in the narration.
The narration wasn't good, but it did get better throughout the book and more bearable. For me the random pauses after the word "and" didnt make sense gramatically.
For reference my favourite Sarra Manning book is "You don't have to say you love me" I could listen to that book forever.
