About this listen
The Path to Self-Love and World Domination is written by licensed psychologist and trauma therapist Dr. Heidi Green. She reflects on her own journey from insecurity and self-loathing to emotional recovery and self-love, and shares how so many people appear stuck in their own way. She'll teach you why you struggle with self-doubt and criticism and take you on a journey to change the way you think, feel, and interact with the world. You will gain an understanding of why you have a critical inner voice as well as how to move past it and fully love yourself.
To help overcome the inner critic in all of us, Dr. Green will guide you through a seven-step path to manifest and strengthen self-love. She'll teach you to nurture and mature your inner child, reject unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, and restructure the way you respond to yourself and the world. Finally, you will be given your World Domination tool kit: six traits that must be cultivated for a truly awesome you.
This book will take you on a journey to discover what self-love is, what it isn't, how to find it, and why having it is the most important element to your life's happiness. You'll learn how to speak to yourself with kindness, reject unhelpful thoughts, and other powerful tools to let self-love reign supreme in your life.

Great structure, engaging, encouraging exercises.
This book is structured so well. I found myself amazed how with every chapter my questions and worries were answered. It offers solutions and a support system for the change you make within you reading it. I even ordered the physical book, to have the exercises within the book at hand. Great experience.

Easy Read for Self Esteem
Easy audio read on Self esteem. A topic I believe should be revisited from time to time. The voiceover is upbeat and the overall text encouraging. Highly recommend for the confident and for those developing self confidence.

I feel this book may actually be changing my life
I am just at the beginning of this book and basically I never write a review but I felt like I had to. This author has spoken about self soothing from comfort food which I have always struggled with and not many people actually talk about or understand. The shame that comes with it but also the reason why this happens through not being taught how to self sooth in other ways as a child. That ice cream tastes good and as a child that is understandable you might turn to it for comfort. This is an amazing thing to hear as the self loathing I have for myself for bingeing and being over weight has carried with me for 40 odd years. Also the author talks about how the things you may struggle with as an adult will correlate to the struggles of a child like how I am terrible with finances, but was I taught how to manage them? No as a child I was never actually taught and was actually shamed a little bit for not being able to manage them, i just liked the feeling of buying things which is now I realise understandable. I am still just that little child who doesn’t understand money who has never been shown the way and my inner talk is aggressive and harsh and I wouldn’t say these things to anyone else. I have just got to the bit where you need to create a representation of your early self before life got down on you and will probably update later how it went but I have to say I am already feeling lighter because I don’t have to blame myself anymore and can start the way to recovery of who I was meant to be.

Over ambitious title
As far as self help books go this is generally ok. It’s a great read if you’ve never read a self help/personal growth book before. Sadly it’s the same recipe as the rest- case histories/stories/anecdotes- which could be false, but they fit the narrative. Quotes from the same gurus, historians and psychologists- nothing new in this one.
