Summary
River Larsen is a world traveler, truth-seeker, and tantric healer. He’s a master of loving all - and no one. Both his past and his spiritual path warn him against attachment. When he falls for his surrogacy client and coffee magnate, Brent McKay, River tells himself it’s a temporary idyll, a beautiful encounter they’ll both enjoy and move on from like mature adults. Only his heart misses that memo.
Brent McKay hasn’t been interested in sex since his wife died two years ago. When he goes to Expanded Horizons sex clinic in Seattle for help, he meets River Larsen, a sex surrogate specializing in reiki massage and tantric sex therapy. Brent never expected to be interested in a man, but River’s light-filled spirit, inner peace, and electric touch bring him back to life. Brent’s loyal heart is ready to commit again. But how can he convince River that love can last forever - if you just have faith?
The Redemption of River features a widower who surprises himself, a gorgeous hippy who thinks he’s a dandelion puff, an age gap, midlife discovery of bisexuality, foodie Seattle, a houseboat, dogs, a trip to Mumbai, and tantric secrets. (You know, the ones that let you have sex for hours. Those secrets.)
The Redemption of River takes place in part at the Expanded Horizons sex clinic and is thus book four of the Sex in Seattle series. It features a brand new couple and can be listened to as a stand-alone.

A little complex
Just a bit complex with all the foreign foods and drinks I'm sure if you eat indian food and know a little about the culture you will enjoy.

Done it again!
Well narrated. Eased my way through a slow wet Sunday and Monday. A great story from Eli Easton again. Thanks.

Chakras in Seattle
Sweet journey through tantric discovery and travel to find ultimate love and peace. Well written, but with the wrong nasal narrator for this subject. MCs are intelligent, likeable, and well placed within the tale to give balance and texture. No silly shenanigans, or stupid scenarios to test credulity. No humour like in Robbie Riverton: Mail Order Bride, but well worth the trip all the same. ENJOYABLE.

Emotional!
So, I have a confession, I haven't read/listened to the previous books in the series, and while there are cameos from some of the characters, this book can be listened to as a standalone. That said, I will go back and read the other 3 books because I really liked the premise of the series. ---
Brent is a lovely man, steadfast, open-minded, mature, and loyal. He has most of his life resolved if only he could get past the grief or the aftereffects of seeing his wife die from cancer. River is spiritual, sweet, interesting, set on helping his patients. He's a bit of a wanderer, determined not to put down roots as he seeks to further educate himself in tantric yoga and reiki healing. They have a great connection from the moment their paths cross and Brent isn't about to let the little fact that he's been straight up until the moment he meets River, to stop him from finding love again. Now he just needs to convince River that staying in one place isn't as bad as he might believe. ---
Michael Stellman delivers a great performance and nails River's spirituality and Brent's steadfastness, and coupled with Eli Easton's emotionally-charged and captivating story, you simply can't miss this amazing audiobook.

Beautiful Romance.
I'm a massive fan of Eli Easton, I've read/listened to all of her books and I don't think there's one I haven't liked. I've enjoyed all of her 'Seattle' stories, and looked forward to this one.
I was so not disappointed. From beginning to end It's so emotionally raw and intense. Brent has been through an extreme tragedy, and my heart ached for him. Along comes River, and from hereonin, the story takes us on an incredible journey. It took me through a forest of grief and despair, to the beauty of recovery, and to the high of falling in love and joy when you find your love is returned.
This was a truly moving story. Beautifully done, I found myself both crying and then smiling throughout. A beautiful plot and brilliantly written, with sharp, believable characters. Also, its very obviously well researched. The narrator was spot on. Mr Stellman brought the characters alive, he totally captured the emotional punch this story delivers. Highly recommended.
