About this listen
They tried to kill him to cover up an ancient secret. Now Sean Wyatt is plunged head first into a race against time to save his best friend and the lives of billions.
A 4,000-year-old mystery lurks in the hills of Georgia. While investigating a strange series of ancient symbols, an archaeologist vanishes, and a professor he entrusted with the secret is murdered. Former government agent Sean Wyatt learns of his friend's disappearance and the murder. Now he must unravel the clues to the ancient mystery that holds incredible power.
To save his friend, Sean will have to fight off highly trained mercenaries in hand to hand combat, violent shootouts, and high speed car chases through the Blue Ridge Mountains. And in the end, what he learns will change the history books as we know them.

Excellent
I chose the book because the content was similar to other books I enjoy. I certainly wasn't disappointed. I have never heard of the author or characters before and I was hoping that it would be good as you can never tell. I give this fiver out of five with good story, good well rounded characters and action from the start. It isn't often you can't stop listening to a book but this is one of them. I would have happily listened in one sitting.

Indiana Jones meets national treasure 2
just like my title says, feels like a mixture of the 2 films, like Indy is working along side Nick Cages character. lol

Light romp
Another treasure hunt but amusing enough. Not great literature and the usual character tropes. There will be a sequel.

Good story but....
This could have been so much better and considerably shorter if the author had not over-explained every action made by the characters. It's like he didn't trust the readers to use their imagination. The book is poorly written and needs editing.
The story itself is good. The idea is just as good as any other story of this genre, and the ending was complete but allowing for a continuation into the next installment.
I probably won't be buying the next book in the series.

Incompetent modern day fantasy action plot
A derivative fantasy/conspiracy action thriller which is poorly written with continuity errors, logical mistakes and clumsy English. The hero’s have little depth or character and are completely incompetent allowing the, of course, German and Russian bad guys to outwit them. Lots of gun violence but no swearing or sex and the story continues for at least another three books. Narrator tried hard with the material they had. If you like this type of story I recommend trying Andy McDermott’s Wilde and Chase series or any Clive Cussler, they are much better written, have characters it’s hard not to care about and plots that just about hang together but most of all are great fun to read/listen to

Poor man’s Indiana Jones
This was so cheesy it took me 3 attempts to get through it.
The German “villain” was so bad it bad me cringe. The dialogue was lifted straight out of a corny movie. It was supremely difficult to listen to in places.
As for the characters, for seasoned archaeologists they don’t really seem to have a clue what’s going on. One is supposed to be the world’s leading expert on Native American history but seems to forget the most basic knowledge of them.
The female character is supposed to be an agent but is completely helpless.
The main character just shoots everyone and leaves dead bodies in his wake.
I really wish I’d trusted my gut and just left it unfinished.
