There are so many stories hidden behind closed doors....

It's late at night, and the rain is pouring down on the Dublin city streets. A mother is grieving for her dead child. She stands silently outside the home of the teenage boy she believes responsible. She watches....

I enjoyed this book much more than I was expecting too, it was a nice easy listen but still had some depth. I loved getting to know each of the characters and their stories. I liked that the story line wasn't too predictable, like some easy listens can be.

This is the second audio book I've listened to narrated by Aiofe McMahon, and she was just as perfect for the part this time as she was previously - so I will definitely be listening to more of her.

Overall I'd give it 4* and would definitely recommend if you're after something that's easy to follow.

My first book by this author - and certainly not my last! An absolute delight to listen to. Everything you want from a book, engaging characters that instantly I wanted to get to know. Dealing with topics in a sensitive and realistic way - I absolutely loved it!

I could listen to Aoife McMahon read the phone book and enjoy it. She has the nicest voice of any of the narraters I've heard. In fact I listen to stories I might not otherwise choose if she's narrating! Her voice is calm and soothing mixed with a lovely vibrancy.
This was a sweet story, didn't demand anything of me and nothing nasty happens. I read it a while ago and in fact can't remember much about it, just that it held my attention and was pleasant . Depends what mood I'm in and what time of day... perfect to fall asleep to.
