About this listen
Modern times are stressful - and it's killing us. Unfortunately, we can't avoid the things that stress us out, but we can change how we respond to them. In this breakthrough book, a clinical psychologist and neuroscience expert offers an original approach to help listeners harness the power of positive emotions and overcome stress for good.
Stress is, unfortunately, a natural part of life - especially in our busy and hectic modern times. But you don't have to let it get in the way of your health and happiness. Studies show that the key to coping with stress is simpler than you think - it's all about how you respond to the situations and things that stress you out or threaten to overwhelm you.
The Stress-Proof Brain offers powerful, comprehensive tools based in mindfulness, neuroscience, and positive psychology to help you put a stop to unhealthy responses to stress - such as avoidance, tunnel vision, negative thinking, self-criticism, fixed mindset, and fear. Instead, you'll discover unique exercises that provide a recipe for resilience, empowering you to master your emotional responses, overcome negative thinking, and create a more tolerant, stress-proof brain.
This book will help you develop an original and effective program for mastering your emotional brain's response to stress by harnessing the power of neuroplasticity. By creating a more stress tolerant, resilient brain, you'll learn to shrug off the small stuff, deal with the big stuff, and live a happier, healthier life.

So bloody practical and interesting!
A must listen for anybody who wants to learn to understand their stressors and how to deal with them.
The science-y bits are actually super interesting, and have made me understand why mindfulness and meditation are actually useful in retraining your brain.

Understand You Have A Choice
Whilst you may not have a choice about what stresses you face in life you do have a choice in the type of relationship you develop with stress. This book helps you understand stress to increase your awareness of its causes and symptoms as well as providing many useful strategies to redefine and relate to stress in more constructive ways which changes how stress affects you. Good read.

Best Self Help book I've ever read
I absolutely loved this book. I've read a lot of books to help with anxiety and how to be happy etc. This book really explains everything so easily and I would recommend this book to everyone!

FAR too repetitive!
I was so interested in this. I will be seeking out an alternative. BUT this particular effort is incredibly repetitive, restating the same things with the same tired examples over and over. Can someone remind me, how do I send a book back?

Mediocre
I didn’t like this there are better forms of information out there, it was so repetitive and triggered me lol just needs to be clear and then move on to the exercise. So much un necessary filler in a lot of books these days to make it into a book.

Not for me
Maybe you'll have a better luck with this book, but it definitely wasn't for me. Instead of helping me to deal with stress I felt extremely annoyed with the first chapter already.
However, it could maybe help someone with more patience to deal with stress, but again it's somewhat basic. If you're suffering from chronic stress and you already feel some consequences from it, this book is not for you (in my case it only managed to annoy me)...
