"The Summer Girl" title sounds so lightheartedly and in stark contrast to the story in the book. It depicts a gripping story with well developed main characters gradually unravelling through unexpected avenues into an utterly shocking finale. I thought the audio was spot on and the narrator's voice perfectly suited the role. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

From the very first chapter, ‘The Summer Girl’ had me hooked. Jenny Blackhurst’s storytelling is masterful, pulling you into the lives of her characters and keeping you second-guessing every motive. But what truly elevated the experience was Laura Aikman’s narration — she brought the story to life with such authenticity and emotion. Her performance made every character feel real and nuanced.

Just when I thought I had things figured out, the twist at the end completely stunned me — I had to stop and replay it to make sure I heard it right! If you love suspense, complex characters, and a narrator who truly makes a difference, this is the audiobook for you.

Highly recommended — I couldn't stop listening.
