Summary

Lesson #1: Trust no one.

Eve has a good life. She wakes up each day, kisses her husband Nate, and heads off to teach math at the local high school. All is as it should be. Except…

Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal involving a student-teacher affair, with one student, Addie, at its center. But Eve knows there is far more to these ugly rumors than meets the eye.

Addie can’t be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that’s what everyone says.

But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet…

From the New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden comes a chilling story of twisted secrets and long-awaited revenge.

Great twist

Took a while to get into the story, I nearly gave up but glad I persevered as the last few chapters were gripping. Loved the unexpected twist at the end

Fantastic author and narrator

Freida hasn’t disappointed me yet. I love her books and kudos to the studio recording these as the narrators have been fantastic so far. If you like this, read/listen to, her housemaid series as well. Love it!

Not my favorite

Didn’t love this one. Finished it but couldn’t wait until it ended. Very unlikeable characters and annoying narration.

Well… I finished it

Story was ok. Writing was a bit trashy but that might not have been helped by the terrible breathy narration when speak any male parts. Totally over-acted.

Gripping - yet not her best

gripping psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Though it’s not her best, it still offers a good story with well-crafted twists that maintain high tension throughout. McFadden's writing is engaging, drawing readers into the dark and mysterious world of the characters. The pacing is brisk, ensuring that there is never a dull moment. The protagonist's journey is compelling, filled with unexpected turns that keep you guessing until the very end. For fans of psychological thrillers, "The Teacher" delivers a satisfying and thrilling reading experience.
