Summary

How not to be good? Let me list the ways…
Are you a woman? Do you make to-do lists to stop you losing your mind? Have you ever cried in the toilets at work, had a meltdown in the supermarket, or gone off the rails at a hen party?
And have you ever been saved from any of the above by your truly brilliant friends?
If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then this is the book for you. A moving, funny and brutally honest memoir of one woman’s millennial misadventures, The To-Do List and Other Debacles follows Amy Jones on her journeys through friendship, marriage and mental health disasters in a story that’s as relatable as it is riotous.

So relatable.
I loved this book. Heartwarmingly funny, heart wrenchingly sad and touching all at once. It’s so relatable, as a woman in your 30’s, trying to juggle everything and feel enough but forget to actually live your own life.

Unexpected but loved it!
Actually a very interesting read. I thought it would be about how helpful to do lists can be but you are actually took along Amy’s story and how the to do lists caused her to become a perfectionist, constantly comparing herself to others. I related to pretty much everything written in this book and I will definitely consider some of the techniques she was talked through in therapy. I’m a sucker for to do lists and I know I feel guilty when I don’t complete them. This has been a real eye opener for me. Unexpected but definitely an eye opener.
