Be prepared for the sadness. It’s so well written that I felt the pain of the characters.

I love how this book weaved in the plight of women/misogyny of men and class still faced today with a historic perspective.
A heartbreaking tale, but likely the reality of many women and I appreciate that it wasn't sugar coated. Lotta is a character that will stay with me.

What a BRILLIANT read
