Summary
No more games; it's time for the truth. I am not the hero in this tale. I am the villain.
Do you believe in monogamy? Neil Strauss didn't. The New York Times journalist made a name for himself advocating freedom, sex and opportunity as author of The Game - with intimacy and long-term commitment taking a backseat.
That is until he met the woman who forced him to ask the questions that men and women are asking themselves every day: Is it natural to be faithful to one person for life? Do alternatives to monogamy lead to better relationships and greater happiness? Can you keep passion and romance from fading over time?
Strauss set out on a quest for answers. It took him from Viagra-laden free-love orgies to sex addiction clinics, from cutting-edge science labs to modern-day harems and, most terrifying of all, to his own mother and his family's secrets. What he discovered changed everything he knew about love, sex, relationships and, ultimately, himself. The Truth may have the same effect on you.

A gd read for ppl recalibrating post "Manosphere"
I havn't read "the game", but I know of Neil Strauss after reading a lot of that type of material post divorce. This is a really good book for people who fear going down a "red pill rabbit hole" and want to recalibrate. Also just an intetesting story and he is a good writer.

How to grow long term happiness from the gulf of short term passion
A journey of discovering one’s self through the life journey of a witty, insightful and eventually loving nerd who done good.
I highly recommend this book. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because it’s not as good as his book the game!

Eye opening, great advice for men and women!
There were a few moments which made me gasp, feel angry, and want to cry with happiness. Not only was it a great story but also a real life honest self help book for one and all.

Amazing
Couldn't stop listening, Neil Strauss voice is great and you feel like u are right there going through each emotion with him. Also really insightful about relationships as Neil experiments with different types and made me question a lot about who I am and what relationship im looking for.

the route to one's self ..
...may get you kicked out of an orgy for eating popcorn. this is the third Neil Strauss book I've "read" the first being "The Game" followed by the companion "rule of the game" I found that how neil writes is a great and clear way of conveying his words ,thoughts and emotions. upon hear him read is own book I felt this is the writer that I heard in my head in the other books. as with the previous Ones. it's not about the original intent of what you set out to do but the journey that makes you grow and what you learned along the way . an intelligent person will always seek knowledge and understand themselves and others better by the end of Thier current quest , neil always answers more questions by the end of the book then he originally thought of asking and leaves little to no unanswered questions at the same time . I have one of his other books of his regarding his rock journalist adventures which I believe takes during the game and before this . I recommend this to anyone who feels there are things about themselves and how they are in relationships that they don't get, or anyone who likes a good ,sometimes touching, sometimes laugh out loud saga.
thanks Neil
