A house with a history. A boy with a grudge. And a detective who will stop at nothing to get to the truth.

Gregory knows something is wrong with his house. His parents don’t believe him, but he can feel it – and he’s frightened.

DC Rose Gifford is called out after neighbours report a series of disturbances at the property, and she can feel it too. She knows Gregory and his family are in danger, and she knows that it will be down to her specialist supernatural crimes team to uncover the truth.

Something terrible happened at number 42 Wyndham Terrace. And it’s Rose’s job to find out what.

A twisty, clever listen for fans of Ben Aaranovitch and Jane Casey.

Brilliant book .. but don’t get the ending

When you are listening to the book and the narrator says ‘ The End’ and you think WHAT !!

It must continue in the next book ( I’m hoping that there will be another )

Brilliant series and very different to your normal detective books

Brilliant narration. Highly recommend

Just getting better and better!

A seriously good listen. if you like a good murder mystery with a sniff of paranormal then i recommend the Rose Gifford series. This is the 2nd in the series and I really enjoyed the twists and turns in this book. I usually listen to Audible when driving or walking the dog and this book certainly held my interest on a long car journey .

Excellent police procedural with supernatural twis

DC Rose Gifford is still working with UCIT and is called to a property after several complaints about the neighbours. However Rose feels that there is more to this than meets the eye. I love a crime series with a supernatural twist so this was right up my street. The story is well plotted and flows well. I loved how the history of the house was gradually uncovered and at times was quite dark and chilling. Rose is an easy character to like and we learned a little more about her backstory in this book. I also like the other characters in her UCIT team.

Excellent narration by Lisa Coleman.
