Summary

When the story ends, the hunt begins.

Jessica Niemi is drawn into a high-profile investigation after the wife of a famous author, Roger Koponen, is killed in a bizarre ritual. As more twisted murders occur in the coming days, it becomes obvious that Jessica is hunting a serial killer - one that is taking brutal inspiration from Koponen’s best-selling trilogy. Has a devoted fan lost their mind, or is this case more personal?

Nobody is safe in this roller-coaster thriller from award-winning author Max Seeck.

Interesting

I really enjoyed this. incredibly far fetched and ridiculous but that's quite fun. I liked the characters and the plot and the settings.

The narrator was excellent except for one minor issue, many of the sentences start with a character name and regardless of the name the narrator would use the same intonation every single time and it got on my nerves quite lot. This is a very minor complaint though and she did a really good job on the book.

I loved this

I had read mixed reviews of this book before buying and I'm glad I ignored the negative ones, I really enjoyed it, it had a feel of Ruth Ware story telling about it, so if you don't like her style, then avoid this, but if you enoy a good yarn, then this might be for you.

The weird interludes in Venice were a bit confusing at first but all becomes clear in time, and the ending, which many have complained about, is perfectly fine, I rather enjoyed the ending.

All in all I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a fully immersive story with many characters all interlacing through time and place, it's fabulous.
