About this listen
Theo Montgomery grew up in a rich family where he had all the toys and trinkets money could buy. But his childhood was full of neglect, and he was bullied at school.
Now he is an adult, he longs to find a soul mate. Someone who understands him. Someone who will love him unconditionally. Then, one day, Theo meets Anna Cole in a lift. Anna grew up in a care home and has always wanted to create the noisy family life she never had. She brings love and laughter into Theo's life. But she wants a baby, and Theo can't imagine bringing a child into this cruel world....
Theo and Anna are two damaged souls from two different worlds. Is their love for each other enough to let go of the pain of their pasts? Or will Anna and Theo break each other's hearts?

Riveting read
A necessary follow on to 'Anna' I read it immediately following reading Anna and would strongly advise readers to do the same.

Theo's Character and the relatability to him
I absolutely loved this story, it was emotionally charged and quite relatable to many I'm sure with regards to the topics of bullying and childhood difficulties and how they follow you into adulthood a lot of the time.
There is usually one or two people who stand out in circumstances like this as being kind and thoughtful at a time when you feel like everyone is against you. Such a touching and heartwarming story but with a heavy feeling of heartbreak and unresolved hurt for Theo.
I absolutely loved Anna's character, she like Theo had been through so much but in a very different way to him and yet they had lots in common.

Superb.
I listened avidly to such a beautiful, true to life story, wonderfully narrated. Would highly recommend, both Amanda Prowse and the narrator, Oliver Hembrough.

Follow on book from Anna
If you've read Anna and enjoyed it, then please do try Theo. It tells the story from Theo's point of view and gives a huge insight into his upbringing. The story is again well written and perfectly performed. The characters are believable, sadly in some cases, and the story had me involved all the way. A few tissues needed but I'm so glad that I read it and loved the ending.

Theo wow lovely novel
Amanda has written another amazing novel!! I feel sad and wept when I finished this book. It felt like I knew Theo and his life . It’s a book about the learning curve of life itself , love , family and close friends , it’s made me look at my own childhood and the way we all relate to each other. Thankyou Amanda

Great story and good believable narrator.
Read this after Anna. Very touching and emotional insight into Theo's background and the intertwining of the stories was so clever.
