About this listen

From New York Times bestselling author Monica Murphy comes a brand new dark and twisted bully romance full of secrets and lies …

Whit Lancaster burst into my life like a storm. Dark and thunderous, furious and fierce. Cold, heartless, and devastatingly beautiful, like the statues in our prep school gardens. The school with his family name on the sign. He can do no wrong here. This is his domain.

He’s a menace on campus. Adored and feared. Hated and respected. His taunting words carve into my skin, shredding me to ribbons. Yet his intense gaze scorches my blood, fills me with a longing I don’t understand.

When he comes to my rescue one night, he ends up broken. Bleeding. My instincts scream to leave and let him suffer, but I can’t. I sneak him into my room. Clean him up. Fall for his lies. Let him possess every single part of me until I’m the one left a gasping, broken mess.

Then he leaves me alone in the dead of night, taking my journal with him. Now he knows all my secrets. My hate. My truth. And he promises to use my words against me. I’ll be ruined if my darkest secret gets out. That’s when I strike a bargain with the devil. I’ll let Whit Lancaster ruin me behind closed doors instead.

Things I Wanted to Say (but never did) is a complete standalone. This edgy bully romance contains dark scenes some listeners may find uncomfortable to hear. Listener discretion is advised.

Great story but maybe a little too long

This is my first book by this author and it was great!

I love Whit and Summer!

I do feel like this book was maybe a tad too long and could have been shortened with still the same plot line/content, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it!!

I'm excited for the next one in the series

I did audio for this book and thought the narrators did a fantastic job 😊

Toxic Af 🌶🥵❤️

I have a love & hate relationship with this book.this authour can write for sure & This could have been perfect but , I hate heroines that are door mats, that have no back bone & that never know their self worth throughout the whole book ..i waited patiently for Summer to claim her worth & she never did. In the end she was just happyto be chose. This book is long & there is a time jump that I felt was wasted as that could have been used to redeem the characters. Summer took all the abuse since she was 14 and then took all the bullying from Whit. She never confronted her mum fully about her past. I feel like Summer never flourished she just survived. If only she had stood up for herself just ones only once is all i needed. now I love my morally grey heroes & then can do just about anything (apart from cheating & rascism) & I will forgive them. Whit was toxic & i cant forgive some things he did however his character did develop somewhat, but im certain had he not changed Summer would have still taken him back without a grovel & I just don't like that .. woman stand up for yourself! narrators did a fabulous job

Reading for Whit

This was my first bully romance trope read I enjoyed the story. I wasn't a fan of the teen spicy parts it felt awkward listening to it.. I liked the story it was interesting I think there could have been character improvement from Summer she was the same throughout. Whits character developed, I wish there was more of his POV I enjoyed the male voice actor more than who voiced Summer. I think there's was too much smut at times it wasn't needed and those parts could have character driven.. more plot and twists could have been added it was predictable.

Very fifty shades

I never quit a book once I’ve started but I came close with this. I’m far from a prude but it was very sex based, as in 80% of it. The actual story line was good, the characters likeable, it was just the constant sex talk that got a little boring after a while. Excellent narrator though.

VERY smutty

It’s an ok book. Incredibly smutty and full of the usual tropes. Could probably have been about 4 hours shorter

The Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
If you don’t like the bully trope this book won’t be the one for you, but my goodness the spice in this book is impeccable and also was underrated in my opinion from other reviews I’ve seen!
This follows a storyline from a perfect meet cute at a young age and follows the progression right through to adulthood.
Introducing additional characters that we meet in future books in the series and I can’t wait to devour them all!
Do we get a HEA? I don’t want to spoil the story for you!

males narrator wasn't great.

too long, and I still don't fully 'get' why Whit hated her so much.... or her mother for that matter. it just didn't make sense to me.
