About the Performer

Peter has been recording short stories, abridged, and unabridged audiobooks since 1993 and has recorded upwards of 300 titles from authors as diverse as Iain M Banks, Andrzej Sapkowski, Claire North, Neill Gaiman, Kate Atkinson, Mo Hayder, and Robert Louis Stevenson. Book 1 hooked me, but this one blew me away. Just burned through the last 10 hours of this book today, i just couldn't stop listening. I hope its not too long of a wait for book 3!

I found this book an excellent continuation of the first book, but whereas the first book laid many of the foundations this book really gets into the nitty gritty of character development. I found the law deeper, more interesting and fundamentally It made me want to continue reading. Highly recommended!

i loved the sequel to Ascendant! naturally I am eager for the third one to arrive! the story is compelling and characters relatable! thank you!

A good fun listen, well considered fantasy elements. Really love the world it’s set in and the balance between the magical and political aspects of it - done in a believable fashion… if dragons and riders were real. Also beautifully narrated.

Sadly I did not enjoy this one as much as the first book. First one had a good sense of foreboding and build up for me that this one just lacked. Nevertheless it is still an amazing story and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it! Looking forward to listening to the third book to see how all the character progress!
