Summary
An old-fashioned looking book, found in the Cornish hotel where Kirsty was hiding from the horror of her old life, seemed to offer her an escape. But slowly, things start to go horribly wrong and Kirsty's past begins to catch up with her, until she has to confront her worst fears.

Strange but compelling
Essentially a story about a group of women & how their past affects their actions.
The narration is a little strange & the attempt at an Irish accent really not convincing but the story was so compelling I got used to it.
I'm grateful that so many of this author's books are free on audible & look forward to delving into her work

another fab listen from Gillian White x
highly recommend and I cant believe a lot of her books r included in the plus membership category x
I am finding that Gillians books have very different story lines to the norm. I'm loving them and with the twists too. strong woman included in this 1. murder, revenge, romance of sorts, unique female friendships etc fabulous.
narrator was very good too.

Truly Awful Narrator
Fairly good story completely ruined by the monotonous narration that doesn't change from person to person (apart from a cringeworthy Irish accent). Sometimes no breath taken between sentences. It all blends into one long humm of pure boredom. Buy the paperback to read. Don't waste your money on this.

Awful narrator
Managed a couple of hours in but just could not take anymore of the terrible drool of the narrator ! Might have been an interesting storyline but the narrator is painful !
