Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The Warriors of the Storm is everything good about the Last Kingdom series, it's full of action and adventure and sees Uhtred moving toward his goal of recapturing Bebbanburg. At the end of the book I was left eagerly awaiting the next story in the series. This may be the best story in the series to date and is a must read if you enjoyed the rest of the series.

This is another thrilling episode in the story of Uhtred. The characters are fascinating, the setting portrayed vividly and the plot lines exciting. I love the Last Kingdom series for all these reasons.

Perhaps this book is rather more gory than some of the others and I wasn’t keen on some details. But still thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

I enjoyed this in audio book form even more than I've enjoyed the other books in the series in ebook form. Perhaps it was simply due to me not having to worry about how to pronounce some of the place names!

The only slight problem I had was that the narration struggled with some of the voices, particularly the women's.

The only way I'll stop buying this series is when I've finished it! Action all the way telling the stories of Mediaeval Britain. This one had comedy as well. On with the next one.

What a good book

Having pre-ordered the 9th book in the series I proceeded to gorge myself on the latest installment of Utred's tale, finishing the audio book in just one day. Silly silly me. I now have an agonizing wait for BC to write the next book. This series is spellbinding and the third (and hopefully final) narrator of the series - Matt Bates does the best Geordie accent I've heard outside of the North East although it was slightly odd that Breida had lost her West Country lilt. Listen to the series, forgive the interruption in narration during the middle section and you'll be desperate to travel back to the time of warriors, pagans, longships and sword craft.
