As these books go along I am becoming more invested in the life of DI C McKay. Worth a listen ...but in my opinion you need to listen to the series in order to appreciate it.

This is an excellent series and I think this one is my favourite. The stories are not as formulaic as so often the case with crime fiction. The characters are well drawn and, although many authors don’t do a great job narrating (stick to your own field comes to mind), Marion Todd’s narration is always a pleasure. I have one more left to go and I hope the author has more in the works.
