Roaring with laughter at bedtime

Been revisiting books that I enjoyed as a child and the ‘Just William’ books have not disappointed at all. Beautifully read (and clearly), hysterically funny and at times building a bridge between the old and the young in the most touching way - when William and his Grandad escaped and went to the circus as an example. Brilliantly written, brilliantly read and well worth escaping into William’s world for a few hours

One of the best William collections

Martin Jarvis's perfomances of the William stories are a joy. This collection is one of the best – showing William in all his semi-heroic glory, bathed in Crompton's trademark wit and delivered with panache by Jarvis. Highly recommended.
