Summary

Three people. One marriage. One murder.

YOU: My handsome husband Tom. You've given me everything our beautiful son and our perfect new seaside home. I want to trust you, but I know you haven't been honest about why you really wanted to move here. I haven't been honest with you either.
ME: I make a secret promise as Tom kisses me and pours a glass of ice-cold wine to toast the first night in our dream house: I'm going to forget about his past. For the sake of our son, I'll keep this family together, no matter what.
HER: Chloe is the only friend I've made since the move. I love our long lunches, even though she asks prying questions about my marriage. Tom hates me spending time with her, but I ignore his warning to stay away. I've seen the way he looks at her. It's better to keep your enemies close.

You may think you know what's going on in my marriage, but you'll be wrong. Only three things are true: Someone is a liar. Someone is in danger. Someone is a killer.

Fans of The Housemaid, The Perfect Marriage and The Girl on the Train will love this absolutely jaw-dropping psychological thriller.

Good narrator

Kept me listening but it was a bit predictable. Guessed the plot fairly early. Still enjoyed it though. Bit basic.

Another great book

Love Tamsin Kennard I search for titles only read by her and this was another brilliant one

Great twists I did guess half way through the twist but still great, left on a bit of a cliff hanger though would have liked to hear the confrontation! Thanks for a great read

Really enjoyed listening but a bit disappointed by the ending.

I love all of Sue Watson’s books, and enjoyed this one. I had predicted the ending very early on, which wasn’t a problem but was disappointed when it finished on this as a cliffhanger. Knowing it was coming all along would have been ok if it had actually played out - what happened after etc. Still a very enjoyable listen though.

The story that keeps on giving...........

I've previously enjoyed Sue Watsons novels but this was brilliant!
A slow burner that slowly draws you in as you get to know the characters, it got better and better as it went along and I couldn't wait to have the time to listen to the next chapter
I mean, WHO do you believe....... WHO do you trust?
With a friend like this......WHO needs enemies!

A Totally unbelievable

I really wanted to like this but the narrator's voice just grated and didn't,seem to fit the main character. Rachel really was so annoying and did such incredulously dumb things. Tom was two dimensional at best and Chloe like a weird child. I guessed who it was halfway through. Disappointing.
