About this listen

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious? You're likely not broken, just a little too normal.

The problem isn't your DNA. The problem is culture, and without a definitive strategy to combat social norms, you end up in the “mediocre middle” with everyone else: exhausted, stressed, and unfulfilled. Headaches, stomach trouble, anxiety, and insomnia are all par for the course.

It's typical to be burdened, frustrated, and easily triggered today. Feeling trapped in finances, work, or relationships isn’t remarkable, either. Most folks have lost a sense of peace, playfulness, and any semblance of order and simplicity. But the middle is no place for someone of your caliber. You're Too Good to Feel This Bad, and you know it.

In this book, Dr. Nate Dallas shares his eye-opening, personal experiment to escape a cultural epidemic. In his unabashed, down-to-earth style, he presents an entertaining and enlightening journey, challenging capable over-achievers alike. Combining potent insights from multiple disciplines, he distills complex processes into practical, achievable steps designed to elevate your life to an all-time high.

Phase 1 - Physiology (sleep, breathing, nutrition, and exercise)

Phase 2 - Psychology (human needs, pattern breaking, mindset, and meditation)

Phase 3 - Life application (recreation, money, work, and relationships)

The life you truly desire is within your reach. It’s time to raise the standard. Buckle your seat belt and don't look back. You will love this ride!

Reaffirming and based on a lot of well documented ideas. I like that it touched on minimalism too as I think that's a hugely overlooked method of self improvement

Better than most I've bought on here

There's a lot of good tips and guidelines in this book. But the amount of misinformation and wild claims in this, which either isn't true, have minimal impact on overall health and/or isn't true. Specially when it comes to food and health it has a lot of these problems.
If you were to make all implications and lifestyle advice from this book, you would be stressed out, go to bed hungry and/or feel like a total failure because of the amount of high standards and goals set by this book.

I'm not convinced that this is a good read/listen for anyone who aren't well wandered in the area of health and food, though many good advice is in the book.

If you're listening to this, implie some of the advice, which are obtainable for you, and do not listen to all of the advice about food - though it wouldn't hurt anyone to eat more greens and vegetables.

Listen carefully, and do not believe the claims that seem too good to be this good, it probably is.

A nearly impossible golden standard
