About this listen
"For fractured souls are like magnets. Drawn to collide into an impossible bliss."
Labeled a 'Cursed' woman of Eve from birth, Maddie has endured nothing but pain and repression at the hands of The Order's most abusive elder, Moses. Now living with her sister in The Hangmen's secluded compound, finally, Maddie is free. Free from the suffocating faith she no longer believes in. Free from endless years of physical and mental torment. Just free.
At age 21, the timid and shy Maddie is content to live within the confines of her new home - safe from the outside world, safe from harm and, strangely, protected by the Hangmen's most volatile member: the heavily pierced and tattooed Flame. Flame. The man who ceaselessly watches over her with his midnight dark and searing eyes. The man who protects her with a breathtaking intensity. And the man who stirs something deep within her numbed heart. But when circumstances conspire for Flame to need her help, Maddie bravely risks it all for the broken man who has captivated her fragile soul.
The Hangmen's most infamous member, Flame is ruled by one thing - anger. Plagued by haunting demons from his past, an all-consuming rage, and isolated by an abhorrent hatred of being touched, Flame's days are filled with suffocating darkness, pierced only by a single ray of light - Maddie. The shy, beautiful woman he cannot purge from his thoughts. The woman he has an overwhelming need to possess, the only person who has ever been able to touch him. Flame's mission in life is to protect Maddie, to keep her safe. Until a trigger from his troubled past sends him spiraling into madness, trapping him in the deepest recesses of his disturbed mind. His Hangmen brothers fear that Flame is beyond saving. His only hope of salvation: Maddie and her healing light.

truly amazing
This is the third book in the series and my favourite so far. Possessively tormented Flame and his Maddie. Both have such haunted pasts that torment them both on a daily basis, but both can heal each other. It was great to see more of Ryder. The author has such a way of words and you can see the amount of research into certain subjects has been used to help with the characters development. Highly recommend.

a beautiful love story
Again Tilly Cole has given us a love story that is both beautiful and challenging to read.
Be very aware of the triggers warning
Flame and Maddie suffered unimaginable torture as children.
But when they found each other they very slowly managed to cure each other of the memories. and find a happiness together.

Beautifully dark and extremely emotional
Check trigger warning before you start this book because it isn't for the faint hearted. Maddie and Flame were badly abused when children and Flame being special needs took it extremely badly. They are both broken and traumatised but slowly find comfort and escape their demons together. Their journey together is beautifully emotional and learning all they have suffered was heartbreaking and difficult to read at times. Thanks to Tillie for writing a happy ending because I don't think I could take anything else after all that we learn here.
I did hybrid reading (audio book and kindle simultaneously) and the narration was so spectacular that it made the entire experience even better. The interpretation of the characters was spot on and Flame's voice perfect.

book 3 in the series
the trauma these to souls have been through would break anyone but together the unlikeliest of 2 find a way to heal each other. its gut wrenching at times and I now understand why in the pervious book flame lost it shouting 'She Was Screaming' and how the narrator got this scene so right in the book. this book comes with a shed load of trigger warnings as it covers issues such as rape, child abuse, neglect and paedophilia.
I recommend reading the books in order as although each book focuses on a different couple there is a story running throughout the series.

Enchanting!
while some topics in each of this series are hard to hear about, the story as a whole is just beautiful and funny and heart warming, and at times can completely bring tears to your eyes. A wonderful read and the narration is perfect and enthralling. I truly would recommend this series to anyone who wants a little of everything from a book.

Brilliant!
Souls Unfractured is a heart rending, yet beautiful love story. It's also book 3 in the Hades Hangmen series so it's dark and contains abuse. I highly recommend it!

Riveting, but wrenching, enthralling a definite must read
When I read Stix and Mae's story i knew I had to read the series. And I was right.. I enjoyed Lyla and Ky's. But reading this instalment was a revelation. Maddie, the small framed third youngest sister endured the most of the sisters due to the hands of brother Moses. Flame, the huge strapping, crooked nose, dark eyed, tattooed man, a tortured soul, traumatised by his past. Both Flame and Maddie find each other and realise their fractured souls can only be unfractured through their connection. Maddie finds her voice and regains her trust in men through Flame, initially through him saving her but ultimately her strength reinforces as she helps Flame cast the demons from his past that always tortures his mind.
We learn of Flame's background, his childhood and why he's called Flame. It is obvious Flame has some level of Asperger syndrome with his inability to read/understand people and his struggle in social interactions. Flame's story is gut wrenching, heart breaking and I was left emotionally drained yet also emotionally drawn to both characters. Tillie handles their initial sexual connection with great skill and care, however within a couple of sessions he's an expert and performing cunnylingus??! Lucky Maddie!!
I wanted to read Flame the most and I wasn't left disappointed.
