Another absolute hit from JD Kirk’s incredible DCI Logan series. The previous book ended on a tantalising cliffhanger so I couldn’t wait to find out what it meant and what would happen. The main characters were as amazing as usual, with more insights into their relationships throughout the book which I loved. The twists and turns and surprises in the story had me on the edge of my seat - literally gasping out loud, staring open-mouthed and, at one point, crying! I found every opportunity to listen to it as I was desperate to find out what happened next…and I demolished the book in 2.5 days! Absolutely fantastic.

I’ve loved the entire Logan series but this book kept me on the edge of my seat till the very last page. Beautifully written with a hat tip to Hoon and Filsen. Angus King brings the characters to life and when I read the books now it’s with his voices in my head. Will be using the substack to fill the void till the next book

I’m not going to lie, it stretched the realms of feasibility, but who cares? That’s the joy of fiction! Loved this book and the twists and turns, and I guessed wrong in terms of trying to figure it all out. Great to have Logan and the gang back together again, and loved Hoon’s appearance and intervention in a sub-plot. As always, superstar narration bringing all of the characters to life with style and consistency from book to book. Thank you!!
