About this listen
It's crazy how fast the buzz comes back after you've been sober for so long.
Whiskey stood there, on my doorstep, just like he had one year before. Except this time, there was no rain, no anger, no wedding invitation - it was just us.
It was just him - the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle.
It was just me - the alcoholic, pretending like I didn't want to taste him, realizing too quickly that months of being clean didn't make me crave him any less.
But we can't start here.
No, to tell this story right, we need to go back.
Back to the beginning.
Back to the very first drop.
This is my love letter to Whiskey. I only hope he reads it.

A Love Letter to Whiskey is the most exquisite depiction of epic yet painfully real love I have ever encountered. The heroine is mature, deeply self-aware, and yet undeniably human—she recognizes her flaws but knows she will inevitably falter again. Her journey is so layered and introspective that it almost feels like a coming-of-age novel, making her emotions all the more gut-wrenching and relatable.
This book is intimate to the point where reality blurs, a true emotional rollercoaster that plunges so deep, it tears you apart. There are moments where you genuinely doubt whether an HEA is even possible, making the experience all the more unforgettable.
And yes, the spice is there, but it’s written with such taste and authenticity that it stands apart from the typical romance novel. Kandi Steiner captures the physical and emotional connection without reducing it to just another steamy scene.
I only wish more people had the courage to read books like this—ones that don’t sugarcoat life, that don’t dilute emotions into an “enchanted” version of reality.
P.S. The audiobook narration is phenomenal. If you’re thinking of reading this, I highly recommend listening as well!

A love letter to whiskey is told like memoirs, it's a letter that goes back to when the two characters first meet in high school.
Regrets, choices over the span of 11 years with two friends who would never venture into more.
It was frustrating heart warming and emotional to be with them through the years but it all came good in the end..
A story of life, love and regrets.
