Summary
A Lycan that can’t shift is no use to anyone.
I’ve made it my mission to be useful to my pack. As pack enforcer, I’m fast and strong, but when the time comes to bond with my mate, it isn’t enough.
Rejection means lone wolf status and isolation from the pack. But when a package arrives with an unexpected inheritance, the pack that wants to shun me suddenly has a new use for me.
Turns out, I’m the proud owner of a house in mysterious territory, rumored to be home to a pack of beautifully twisted shifters. Hawthorne Cove is impregnable to Lycans, but not to a half-human like me.
Now I have a second chance to be accepted by my pack.
All I have to do is infiltrate the Hawthorne pack, find the source of their power, and steal it.
Easier said than done.
Because once I pass the mystical boundaries surrounding the town, I’ll be absolutely and totally at the mercy of the wolves of Hawthorne Cove.

This is a decent audiobook.👍 Both narrators were good at other characters' voices. I felt the male could've been utilised more, however!
It's quite a long-winded story to get where it's going, which I'm still not sure we've been made aware of fully.🤔
After her mate breaking their bond 'for the good of the pack'.🙄 His father and Alpha send's her to gain an ancient artefact from a protected place called Hawthorne Cove. She's just been left a property there by her mother, who disappeared when she was 3. It's obvious her Alpha is using her, but she's so desperate to 'fit in', as she's only half lycan and half human, that she doesn't seem to care!🥺 Her bestie, who's human,Tate, goes with her.
Nothing is normal in Hawthorne Cove! Her life is often in peril. Is there a pull growing between her and Tate, or her and the Hawthorne Cove beta, or both?😉
Honestly, this story is all questions with zero answers, which I found extremely frustrating. I don't want or expect all the answers in book 1, but we do need a few so we know what is going on at least!🤨 I was disappointed.

Brilliant first in series
What a fantastic first in series. The world building is great. Quinn sets out to earn a place in her pack after her mate rejects her. Her apha has given her an almost impossible task. With her best friend Tate she enters Hawthorne packs teritory. There are many twists and turns, lots of adventure and great back stoies to Quinn and her friends. am off to read the next book. The narration is excellent.
