If you are looking for a physicalogical thriller to keep you on the edge of your seat, this is the one for you! I love how the narrator brought Kirsten, Jack and Logan to life! A huge five stars and I highly recommend this listen!

I’m not sure how to rate this audiobook, it was entertaining but I’m not sure I actually liked it. I like dark romance and love triangles but something just didn’t quite work for me. I loved the suspense aspects of the story but I struggled with the domestic violence elements and although I know it’s realistic, I also didn’t really like any of the characters, I felt they were all manipulating each other. I thought the narration was good and kept me going.

Great characters and story, with some twists that I didn’t see coming. Fantastic narrator who really captured the emotions in the story and brought the characters to life. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

If you like psychological twists with drama and head games you will get confused and extremely emotional about. I will warn you it does have a good cliffhanger that your probably not going to expect. This was the first time I listened to a book from this author or of this kind of love triangle, and it is filled with a lot of drama and heartache.

This one will keep you guessing; it took me awhile to get into it. You can't help but wonder what is going to happen next.

I enjoyed this book too much. Narrator was new to me. I enjoyed her voice. I Loved the story line. Had me in work reacting to certain parts of the book. People asking me if I was ok. This was a must read for me. I can't wait to jump into book two.

This story is well written but I wouldn't have called it a Psychological Thriller. Romantic drama in my opinion is more accurate.
I also wouldn't have called the book A War of Hearts, but more like Drama of Hearts.
This isn't my normal reading - perhaps because I normally stay clear of my friends with severe bad judgement with regards to relationships. This story tears at my heart, makes me mad, and a turmoil of emotions and head games, constant head games...and how communication hurts and solves problems. If you're looking for a book that will make you feel, empathize with characters, get angry at characters this is definitely a book for you.
Just an fyi - no HEA - there is a cliff hanger

This was a psychologically suspenseful tale. Karen Lynn takes the readers/listeners out of their comfort zone, onto a turbulent journey. The storyline is definitely intense with dark elements, dealing with emotional and physical abuse. The characters in this tale are intriguing but flawed and not easily liked, as it's intended.

Kristen and her abusive husband, Logan, have a very unhealthy and toxic obsession with each other. True, Logan is a master manipulator, but it's Kristen who keeps going back to him, hence eliminating any sympathy I held for her plight. She is not perfect, she is quick to anger with lots of baggage. To offset Logan's abuse, Kristen starts an affair with Jake. Jake falls in love with Kristen and convinces her to leave Logan. I liked Jake quite a bit, he tries to build Kristen up, mounting her strength.

The narration by Claire Riley is outstanding. She channeled the characters and their emotions, bringing them to life. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.

Overall, this was a different but enjoyable story, it delves into the human psyche and the inner demons. Karen Lynn takes the readers/listeners on a suspenseful and emotional rollercoaster. I'm excited to hear the rest of the series. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
