Summary
For a decade now, the world has known of the existence of the immuno-degenerative and epidermal decomposition virus (strain two). The world governments and several civilian agencies have, so far, managed to keep the unimaginable from happening. They achieved it by keeping the outbreaks under control and preventing a global pandemic.
But even the best control measures seem to be falling short, as outbreaks become more frequent and larger in scale. Hundred percent of those infected with ImDED2 die. The problem is they don’t stay dead. The virus hijacks their bodies, turning them into insatiable, cannibalistic eating machines. Zombies.
Ryan Maxwell, a retired soldier, and his wife Victoria, a high school science teacher, have sacrificed for years to provide a good life for their family, but even the hardest working couple can run up against hard times.
However, a spur-of-the-moment purchase of a lottery ticket is about to change their lives forever. And possibly save them all.
Will the Maxwells be able to take advantage of their newfound wealth in time to form a buffer of safety between their family and friends and the possibility of a global zombie apocalypse? Is there enough money to buy safe passage in a world...after Z?

Good story but Narrator very robotic
I enjoyed the premise and story to this but i have to admit it was a struggle to listen to due to the narration it sounded very robotic and monotone it’s a shame because there are some great scenes and narrative in this book

Billionaire Prepper's Guide to the Zompoc
Enjoyed this book, good range of characters and a Interesting way of approaching a zombie novel. Little light on the actual Zombies but feel the next in the series will really step this up.

Zombie apocalypse done with style and snark!
This was a great take on the zombie apocalypse, zombies have been around a while and a lottery win that leads to a spectacular bunker/man cave, filled with the best toys! Ryan was a man with a plan, and some great one-liners that had me laughing, my favourite was "duct tape a zombie d0ggy-style to you" and "remember to let big d1ck out"! Matthew Crow was a really good narrator, I really hope theres going to be a book 2, I'll be watching for it.

The ideal zombie apocalypse for preppers
If you love zombie stories and/or prepper stories, then this book mixes both beautifully. Well written and narrated, I'm looking forward to book two.

Surprising blend
This isn’t your typical zombie novel. Nor is it the typically preachy / teachy prepper book. It’s an interesting blend of the two that looks at the event of the world as we know it ending.
Action abounds. Half the people are ex military, and they have awesome weapons. Not everyone is a good guy, but some are. Oh, and while the cast of characters grows throughout the story, there is lots of plot, drama, action and cool toys to keep you entertained.
This isn’t a deep philosophical work. But it is entertaining and engaging with interesting twists.
I received this audiobook for free in exchange for a review.
