Summary
I should have died. I should have been forgotten. But I didn't, and I wasn't.
Living the life most women only dream about, I was madly in love with my soulmate - Asher Valentine - amazing husband, loving father, and rock's favorite kick-ass frontman. A man who loved me every day, in every way, since we first met as teens. We were blessed with a beautiful daughter who was the light of our life. My all-female rock band was tearing up the charts.
Then tragedy struck, and I lost it all.
Now all I have is a stack of journals, an antique key, and a big black void where my memories should be. Used to be.
And I have him - this man with wild hair, tattoos from head to toe, a soft voice, and an even softer touch that gives me butterflies. He's clearly hopelessly in love with his wife. I'm told that's me.
But that wife is gone, and she took everything they once had, leaving me in her place. A broken replacement. A new version that doesn't quite fit.
I'm slowly falling in love with him, but will he ever truly love me? Or will he forever be in love with her, the phantom woman who haunts us both?

Loved the story - Ashers voice wasn’t great
I have loved all the previous books, was so looking forward to reading Asher.
My first audible book, although I enjoyed the story, I just couldn’t get used to Ashers voice, it was totally wrong for the character, it made him sound very weak and timid, not at all the tough rockstar that came from the other books

Great audio of a fabulous love story
This is my favourite book of Carian Cole's and this audio version is beautifully recorded. Maxine Mitchell captures the emotions of Ember so sensitively and Aiden Snow's Asher breaks my heart with his depth of emotion. The love story is brought to life so wonderfully and this will be listened to numerous times I am sure. The audiobook captures the heart of unrequited and reawakened love. This is a story not to be missed simply for the endless sensitivity and patience and devotion Asher has for his wife.

stunning, best book of series
you can feel the raw emotion pouring of every page in this book. the narration is fabulous, both narrator's gave a fantastic performance. the story wasn't rushed and you felt like you truly got to go on Asher and Embers journey with them. Ashers persistent belief in Ember that she would recover, took an inner strength and determination that not many possess. The book follows the couples emotional journey before, during and after a traumatic brain injury as they find themselves again. I couldn't put the book down.
I hope we get Mica's story and would also love to hear Fin and Sailor's stories if they have them.
I highly recommend the whole series, I've thoroughly enjoyed each and every book with their excellent storylines and storytelling from a cast of fabulous performers who's art form is so much more than simply reading a book.

Nice story
This story was nice, but didn’t actually connect with me quite as much as I thought it would. I think Ember was a little whiny and I wasn’t quite sure why Asher would be so into her, and Maxine Mitchell’s narration didn’t help. That being said, I still enjoyed it and it was better than 3 stars, and I’ll still get more by this author.

Emotional Drama
This is #6 of the Ashes & Embers series and was truly heart wrenching whilst Asher had to wait for his beloved Ember to come out of a coma for eight year and their journey together afterwards. He had the patience of a Saint and his love was truly inspiring.
It made you think about what if it happened to you and how would you react. I would have liked to know more about Redwood though.
The #dualnarration by #AidanSnow and #MaxineMitchell was superb as ever.

Wow!
Great to see Asher and Ember’s story come together like this. The journey was insane but the ending was worth all the emotional turmoil. One of my fave couples...... Love them twice! Now and forever.
