Summary
Contains books one and two of the Attempted Vampirism series.
Attempted Vampirism, book one
It’s not easy being a vampire - just ask Jonathan. As the 32nd lord of Bloodhaven, Jonathan is a vampire noble. Alas, he’s a noble in name only. Forget gold, diamonds, and bountiful estates. All he has to his name are one cozy - some would say dilapidated - castle and a reputation as a fine scholar specializing in ancient lore. Of course, given the horrible ends both his father and grandfather met in pursuit of fame and fortune, it’s probably for the best that he enjoys the quiet life. Sadly, his quiet life is about to meet a horrible end of its own.
Think tax collectors are bad? How about...vampire tax collectors? After a run-in with the Blood Alliance Department of Taxation leaves Jonathan with nothing, he needs a lot of money, and he needs it now. But at least he can rely on his faithful servants for help, right? Wrong. The only servant he’s got left is his old but faithful butler, Miles. To get his castle and his stuff back, Jonathan and Miles have to take some risks, but the gods aren’t going to make it easy for them. After all, these are the same gods who took at least three tries to get the world mostly right, and they have some wonderful surprises up their sleeve.
Attempted Adventuring, book two
A vampire noble’s work is never done - just ask Jonathan. With the help of his faithful servant Miles, their first mission was rather more dangerous than he’d like.
Of course, one mission won’t be enough, and there’s nothing scarier than vampire tax collectors.
If Jonathan wants to get his castle back, he’ll have to go on more missions. Tougher missions. Scarier missions. Missions that make him question the sanity of dwarf architecture. And their newest mission is a doozy. But if he and the others can survive sea monsters, ancient evils, and an unlikely pair of allies, they might just strike it rich. One way or another, Jonathan is getting his castle back.

Lovely story and I love this author
I initially downloaded a book from LG Estrella on audible as it was free and I needed something to listen to, and have quickly fallen in love with his style of writing! The books are on the shorter side but are absolutely hilarious, enthralling and just a joy to read and listen to! I will admit, it took me nearly a book and a half to get used to the readers voice, as I was so used to the reader of the unconventional heroes series, but once you get into it I promise it's worth it! 10/10 would definitely recommend and I eagerly await the release of new L G Estrella books!!

Fantastic comic is my thing
When I finished Chereta's books, I was desperate to find something similar, as I've gotten a taste for the humourous fantasy style. Then I discovered Estrella, and was blown away. Both with Timmy and Jonathan, this books are pure gems. Highly recommended!!

Cant wait for the sequel!
The author's writing and world building has really improved from their previous series. Can't wait to see what's coming. Although the narrator's performance is very extreme and sometimes grating. He has captured the characters very well and I grew accustomed to the narration as I continued to listen.

thoroughly enjoyed this
I wasnt expecting this to be any good, but was very pleased, good fun throughout. Not sure if the writers started to struggle for ideas in the second book with it's little sideshow trips of background as filler.. I'm hoping that's not the case as I'm looking forward to a next book in series, but it's been two years since this was published so who knows...

As always, a massive hit!!
Loved it, absolutely amazing. A few niggles about some slow moments but they were few and far between. Loved the different voices by the reader, just beautiful! I hope more come in both of the series the author has written so far and I cannot wait to listen to them

A fun adventure
I wanted something something to listen to over a few days where I had some downtime, nothing too serious just some sort of fun company and this book was that.

Awesome story, less awesome narrator.
I jumped into this audiobook after listening to other works of LG Estrella, and only knowing I would be in for a good adventure story made me continue listening to this narrator. The pauses in each sentence threw me off. That said, I must reiterate that me being certain that I'd enjoy this story made me bite through the weird. pausing. every single sentence. every few words. really. the whole. damn book. long.

So much fun!
I absolutely loved the story and the characters. It’s like being in an RPG game.
Massive credit to the narrator who brought every character to live beautifully.
I hope there will be more.

Love the pace and humour.
A great romp through a well constructed world of fantasy. It has just the right balance of a good story, great pace, humour and an easy listen with the excellent narration.
