About this listen
The world is dead!
Two months ago, billions of people were killed by a deadly germ. Days later, they rose up again in massive numbers. Since then, cities worldwide have become rat-infested, germ-filled hellholes, ruled by the living dead.
Welcome to London
A group of survivors are trapped in the rotting heart of the capital, hopelessly outnumbered. They've heard rumors of a safe haven to the north—a self-sufficient community where people can rebuild their devastated lives—but the decaying ruins of London are vast and sprawling, and they're going to need an army to get away from this place.
There are other people here, waiting in the shadows. Can enough of them band together to make a difference, or has the country—maybe even the entire world—already been lost to the undead?
The first book in a standalone trilogy set in the nightmare world of David Moody's international best-selling Autumn series—the original epic British zombie saga.

Entertaining
A good listen with some really great characters, and a fast paced, action packed plot.

Gripping
From the first word until the last, I was completely gripped. When not listening to the story, I found myself wondering what was going to happen next… and rushing my tasks so that I could resume listening. I cannot wait to hear the next instalment.

Excellent story and narration
Story was really interesting and based on reality (well as much as a zombie apocalypse can be) and Aubrey was on point with his narration.
Defintely worth a listen

A High Watermark in the Sea of Undead Fiction.
As someone who has read and enjoyed all previous books in the 'Autumn' series, I'm thrilled (and relieved) to say the high standard already set has been more than met in this latest installment.
That is not to say that familiarity with the previous books is necessary to enjoy this chapter, but the tone and style is recognisable to a returning reader.
How David manages to continue writing engaging stories without resorting to repetition or developments that cause involuntary eye-rolling is impressive. His characters truly feel like ordinary people. No ex-spec ops soldiers, no civilians that suddenly develop skills that would take years of training, just human beings trying to cope in a terrible situation. No power fantasies here, just relatable struggles.
The reading by Aubrey Parsons also deserves to be highlighted in adding real human dimension to individual characters, whilst still retaining a distinct voice as narrator.

Very entertaining
This was my first David Moody book and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be getting the rest of the series.
Good setting, interesting take on the genre, and relatable characters.
On that note though... The large number of characters did sometimes get a little overwhelming but not so much as to be confusing.
Brilliant narration by Aubrey Parsons.

Welcome to London
David Moody kicks off this new London Trilogy in his Autumn series with gusto, introducing us to a new group of characters he draws us into a London that has already fallen and is literally starting to break up. Aubrey Parsons brings the 'Autumn world' of David Moody to a vivid state of life amongst the undead. As is now the norm for Moody he makes us care about the characters Once you read or listen to Autumn Dawn you will want to immediately grab Autumn Inferno but be aware at the time of writing this we are waiting on the third in the series and it feels such a long wait.

Good listen
Not a bad audiobook. With the large amount of characters further into the book, it became a little harder to keep track of who’s who. Fantastic narration by Mr Parsons. I really do not know how he manages to remember all the characters voices.

Incredible.
This is the first book I've listened to from David Moody but this one has got me hooked, a genre not amongst my favourites either but this story had me sitting on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Gruesome, horrific, sickening, addictive, Cant wait for the second instalment which a little bird tells me isn't far away. Aubrey Parsons does a superb job of the narration, the prologue read in a Leeds accent had this Yorkshireman chuckling away, it was perfect.

horrifying, captivating and thrilling.
Really enjoyed this audio book. Narrator has voices down pat with rhythm and timings. As expected from the author, I was drawn into the characters and the plot interweaving their new lives. zombies were a great mixture of terrifying and discomforting. can't wait to follow the band of survivors journey.
