I didn’t think I’d fall this hard for Nic and Lo, but Caught Up pulled me in fast and didn’t let go. The story follows Lauren, a cam girl who’s built her life on her own terms, and Nico, the mobster who never really let her go even after betraying her years ago. What starts as an unwelcome reunion slowly unravels into something darker, deeper, and unexpectedly tender. The performances by Kasi Hollowell, Jason June, and Teddy Hamilton were SO steamy, making it impossible to stop listening. I really enjoyed the humor of Lights Out so thought I would try the next book. Sadly, other than cameos from Josh, just doesn’t have any comedic punch. It’s pretty much a simple explicit mafia romance. This author evidently likes to have specific kinks per book, but other than some focus on exhibitionism, it’s not particularly focused on. The narrators were set a very high bar by the first and while they are good, they can’t match the first. Overall, it’s fine but if you’ve read Lights Out first, you’re likely to be disappointed

It wasn’t as good as the first book. I waited ages for it and was a bit let down. Story line wasn’t as good and honestly thought it would carry on with ally and Josh. Still a good read though.

Really enjoyed a new perspective, having the fmc as a cam girl and inclusive characters. Dark and emotionally deep, personal growth and witty banter. Really enjoyed, another smash hit from nevessa allen

The fmc was really hard to get on board with and the story lacked something - no real depth to the characters (I think there were too many which diluted it a bit)

There was nothing to set this book apart from others similar to it.
I missed the humor and silliness from Ligths Out. Not that it should have been the same in this, but I expected something that would make it great.

The characters did not have to solve a problem together and I did not feel the chemistey between them develop. It was hot, no doubt, and it had great spicy scenes!

I will not be relistening to this like I have been Ligths Out
