About this listen

Not long ago, Daniel Mahan, known to everyone as Shaman Mahan, thought that he had taken his sixth and final step in the Barliona gameworld. Yet life has other ideas. The Corporation decides to resurrect the Lord of Shadow and his entire host. The Corporation's CEO personally pushes the reset button. Geranika and his Dragon of Shadow spring back to life as, meanwhile, the Corporation makes an offer the Shaman can't refuse.

a bit dull and forced ending

the whole series has started incredibly well. The last two books were disappointing... felt extremely forced...

so is this the end for clan Wars

is this the end for clan Wars this was the first litrpg that got me into this genre I would really have liked to have seen Man take that first achievement of the guy from the other continent and the end of the book it sounds like there is more to come but then the narrator says this concludes way of the Clans so is there more to come or not

Disjointed and poor

I've enjoyed the Way of the Shaman series...up until the last 2 books. It would appear the main protagonist has suffered some sort of serious head trauma that has resulted in an ever decreasing IQ, memory issues and the impulse control of a spoilt 3 year old. For a supposedly intelligent person he makes stupid choice after stupid choice that is totally out of character and makes you eye roll and grind your teeth. It honestly felt like every idiotic decision was simply to advance the story in the most illogical way possible. The story construction itself is lazy at best and bloody terrible at worst. The story didn't flow, it felt forced. It felt like the author had scenes he really, really, really wanted to include and he was going to do it story and logic be damned.

Right now I have 10 hours left in this audio book and I'm pretty sure I don't want to waste any more of my time trying to figure out how someone can be so stupid and repeatedly saying out loud to myself "What? Wait. Why? That makes no sense!"

Fair play to the narrator he does a great job and has throughout the series. Characters are well defined with obviously different voices and keeps a good pace (the only time it dragged a little was when the book was a bit bloated which is the authors fault not the narrators).

Overall a truly terrible swan song for a decent series. Would I recommend this series? Yes though I'd not bother with this book and try not to be too disappointed with the previous one which was where the descent into idiocy began.

Plot holes

The events are illogical. The main character also starts acting against his best interests and makes plenty of obvious mistakes that are difficult to put up with. Basically, he became a stranger.

If you've put up with illogic so far, know that in this book he takes it to the next level, without even excusing it as intuition. Blunder after blunder. It's not so much an adventure anymore, as it is watching someone deal with their mistakes by making other mistakes. He's a fool and I'm bored.
